Ikea Legs on other cabinets?

I'm getting ready to put in a 26' wall of cabinets in my garage (upper and lowers with a sink). I've been going back and forth between the Lowe's prebuilt/unfinished and a set from Ikea. I like the Lowe's because I can prime and paint to a color to match what I plan to do, and they seem very solid. The only thing that has me leaning towards IKEA is that theirs are up on legs which keeps them away from moisture and makes cleaning easier.

Is it possible to use the IKEA legs on cabinets like the Lowe's pre-builts? Do you think I would run into stability problems?

I was also thinking maybe just using a rubber toe kick on the Lowe's cabinets and sealing real good? Any thoughts?

You shouldn't have trouble converting a kicked cabinet to a legged or even wheeled cabinet, just shoot a oneby or twoby across the bottom for reinforcement and bolt it up. Ikea Hacker might have some ideas for you, or you can look for videos at Ron Hazelton and Dean Johnson's websites, I know those guys love moneysaving cabinet tips.
