I like this thread a lot.
I'm a huge fan of the Hansen trays, but it's hard to beat the prices on the GRIP trays. One thing I've noticed, neither have a spot for a 26 mm 1/2" dr, which of course my Craftsman set DOES have in shallow. Can anybody explain this? Just an odd size I guess.
One suggestion on your extensions, swivels, drive adapters, etc. I cut a standard socket rail and lay it on it's side with everything mounted. Keeps stuff from rolling around. I've considered pop riveting into the drawer side, but I just can't bring myself to drilling holes in the drawer.
Keep up the good work and keep the pictures coming!
on the socket rails on toolkings site they only show red for mm and sae...did you specify blue or did they send those automatically???...just making sure mm and sae ARE different colors before i order...
i like how you've stuck to your budget. you've done an excellent job. you scored big time at that yard sale. i go all the time with the wife and it seems like 1 out of 100 has any tools for sale. keep up the go work!!!!
I think that binder deal is one of the smartest ideas I have seen for organization/storage of emery cloth/sandpaper etc. Very cool! I am definitely gonna steal that idea!!![]()
I've liked what you have done so far although i see the application not really feeling the binder with plastic sleeves for sandpaper but to each their own
Subscribed! Some great ideas so far. I am always up for 'budget friendly' tool organization. Cool thread![]()

Thought you might appreciate this one that Sears has:
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00922893000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1
On sale every now an then for $10. The sand paper alone in worth more than 10 even at HF prices. The folder is pretty heavy duty.
Not sure if you've settled on another set of metric impacts, but I have these:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NIKA4U/?tag=atomicindus08-20
Bought at Walmart for ~$20 a while back at Walmart. I haven't seen them in my local store for a while, but they have the Cambell Hausfelds for around the same price. Both come in cases similar to those the HFs come in.
So far my Stanleys are ok for what I've used them for.... just occasional use at home.
