Sears has "the original" Allen wrench set - made in China. So if you are looking for looking for USA made you should check.

Looks like Sears is running a promotion, spend $75 on tools get a $15 GC on the spot. Its in store only from the 19th-24th.

Just a warning i dont believe its a normal GC in that they carry expiration dates.

The really cheap allen stuff on cripes is chinese made I believe.

Correct!

Allen has been releasing a bunch of Chinese tools recently. I don't know if they still make the US tools.

The 66647G wrench set is made in China, according to this site.

I think all the Allen tools that have a "G" in the part number are Chinese. If you notice, they are usually unbelievably low priced.

I bought this wrench set on ebay and was surprised to find it was Chinese. I returned it.

There are still some deals out there on USA made Allen tools, but be sure you're getting US tools before you buy.

Hmmm...I'm surprised to hear that. I'd definitely consider them since they're made in Taiwan. The set I bought was China.

I'm going to a different Menards tomorrow to see if I can get me the SAE and another set of both for my son..been collecting tools for him when I find a sale. He's not into tools yet but I'm hoping he will be, and I got a lot of already purchased... presents for him :). Definitely says Made in Taiwan on the back of the 10 pc Allen metric set 66647G.

Even when choosing ship it shows 34.95..... their website is so bad...

Last time this was on sale, I picked it up in store for $17. Online only sales are usually paralleled in store for Gearwrench. It's a nice screwdriver set and makes a decent nutdriver if you don't mind not having a hollow shaft.

I chatted with someone on the sears site and they said there was/is a web problem and to try a bit later. I have been looking at getting this set and $20 makes it more worth it

Whats the rule for using the kiosk in the Sears to order online, is it free shipping to store or something like that?

That is a closeout item, recognized by the price ending in .97. I ordered one, hopefully it will work with my extreme tools tool box, anyone confirm this?

HF 7 Drawer Black Onyx End Cabinet for Roller Tool Chest $89.97 was $259.
Looks to be the same as the red ones but in black. Shipping was only $12 for me or order two and get free shipping.

It's ****. The red one is great, i have it.

Look at the 185 lb. weight capacity from the spec's on the black one:

now look at the red one (525 lbs. - and i have more than that in mine):

I think it's the exact same cabinet from the photos and the other specs shown. I think the 185 weight capacity is a typo in the ad.

BTW tried to order one, they are on backorder now. Since it's probably a closeout, there won't be any backorders. It says "in stock" on the product description page but when added to cart it shows backordered.

Sorry, not a Hot Deal, just the same old rant about Sears.

now it shows 19.** and you can do in store pickup

What a goofy website.

With that item in my cart, now with the correct $19 price, the sidebar shows other Gearwrench tools I might be interested in, for 50% off - 8pc reversible combination wrench sets show at $79 marked down to $39, and the 49pc Vortex set from $49 down to $24.99. But when I go to those product pages to add them to my cart, the wrenches are only $20 off, and the Vortex set is full price. What's the point of having a feature that offers me other tools I might be interested in buying if the prices are wrong?
