maybe it is paid off, but there are people who are not to bright when it comes to selling something they do not really own. But I would call the serial # into snap-on to make sure there is no outstanding debt on it, or else just keep the box hidden at home and not a shop.

My snap-on dealer had to repo a modis that a guy won on ebay cheap. The guy wanted to update it but a red flag came up when the serial number was entered in.

Id hit BIN and "work" the deal there when your waiving cash cough 750.00

Unless there is a real issue I couldn't do that. It's a great price if the box looks as good in person and has the keys. I just hate to make a 800 mile round trip because he left something serious out of the add. In some way I wish someone would buy it to get me out of my misery. I've sent the guy a email and waiting on his responce. I'd have no problem dropping 1000 dollars on a nice 1001. Plus I love a road trip

That's about 4 hours north of me. If someone doesn't buy it before I move Thursday, I'm going to.

His payment method is Paypal. He could be requiring an instant payment at checkout. You'll be relying on eBay/Paypal if it is not as advertised. That's probably a 70/30 bet as a buyer.

SOMEONE is going buy that box with Buy-It-Now. If you're not local you really have to buy it on faith.

Any chance this could be a scam? Account hijack or something? It wouldn't be the first time...

Edit: Apparently seller did NOT require payment at checkout. You go mrholeshot!

I pulled the trigger on it but he won't get any money until I'm standing in front of it. I may leave in the morning if he gets back with me, had to use my wifes ebay account. I shut mine dow awhile back
