I had given my son an older Mac XR11FPA a few years ago and it recently stripped a pawl tooth and started to skip.
I sent it to Mac in Ohio in a Priority mail envelope 7 days ago. A package arrived UPS today!
A new XR13FPA showed up, brand shiny new. :)
He'll be thrilled. Beautiful ratchet. Nice job Mac!

I don't like the detent swivel or the HF looking handle. At least it's made in the USA. Looks like they would have stamped USA instead of a decal. Some may like it but looks kinda cheesy to me. Just my opinion so please don't take offence

I love all my mac ratchets. If anything HF have Mac handles. Nothing from HF is an original.

I just said the handle looked similar to HF but theree were many companies using that style handle before Mac. Ampro was using it 12 years ago on 4 dollar ratchets.

Personally I don't deal with Mac anymore as a professional tech. No support locally, called looking to be put on a dealer's route and was told I'm too far away (hello I'm in the capitol of CA.), you have to pay to send anything in for warranty, move to taiwan tools, etc.. just turned me off completely to them.
I don't buy Mac at fleas in fact I usually insult whoever is trying to sell me Mac with my offers (which is less then Craftsman, which is where they are with me)

I like my old Mac stuff especially the spark plug 3/8 ratchet I have but when it's done I'm not sending them anything. That ratchet in the picture looks EXACTLY like a HF ratchet to me. NO thanks.

What address did you sent it to? Or did you have to call first?
Thanks

Right here:

Consumer Warranty Returns Department
Mac Tools
4380 Old Roberts Road
Columbus, Ohio 43228

No Return Auth. or contact needed.

I could have fit several tools in a flat rate envelope for 4.95.

Years ago you usually needed to get an R/A from most tool companies but it's pretty simple nowadays.

The point is though when we bought these tools off the truck we never agreed to "sent them in" when they broke. Now Mac is telling me on the phone they don't guarantee a dealer (because they are now dropping like flys)
Sure I could fit several tools in a flat rate box or whatever plus insurance and confirmation or whatever but that's not what I agreed to.
Another thing is what are you getting back? Lucky they sent a USA tool or one with a USA sticker. Sabrina, OH. plant is closed and they moved overseas. When will all the replacements stop becoming USA?

I am sure that sending in tools to the home office works fine for some things. However I only keep a small amount of large wrenches in my box. If I had to send in a 1 1/4 wrench and then wait a few weeks I would not be happy. This is why when my Snap On dealer offered me a sweet deal trading in my knuckle saver wrenches for Snap On ones I jumped all over it.
