I don't hear much discussion of the NAPA brand tools either the pro stuff or the evercraft brand, they both seem pretty good to me the evercraft seems at least as good as gearwrench branded tools, or the better HF pittsburgh pro stuff.

I saw a (used) ratchet a while ago that's innards felt just like an older Craftsman raised panel.

Personally, no. I think the quality is generally high, but the prices are even higher. I can find equivalent or better for less money.

I like some of the Napa professional hand tool line. They are overpriced new from the store, and I think almost everything jumped in price in the current real deals flyer. They have great full polished wrenches and the German made blue and yellow screwdrivers are outstanding. However, most of the current items are simply rebadged gearwrench tools now that the KD hand tool line bit the dust. I don't care for the Evercraft items.

I've got some 15 year old Napa sockets that I still use daily. They're identical to Craftsman except for the marking.

Broken sockets have been replaced with Craftsmans (since it's more convenient).

The set originally had a few ratchets too, but I think I'm down to a round head 1/4", and maybe the 1/2" is still floating around, not sure. I'm pretty sure the 3/8 bit the dust years ago and have no idea what I did with it.

I have some napa tools. Full polish metric combos, standard tap and die set. Both are USA and hard working tools. I know I got more just can't remember right now.

I have a few Napa tools they are fair/good quality. A little high on the price for what they are IMHO.

They are a good place to get kd / danaher stuff and there are deals to be had in their quarterly real deals flier I recently got a few sets of irwin vise grips comfort grip with v shape jaws for $7 a pop I don't care where they were made they do exactly what I need em to do. Their napa pro tools impact sockets can be had for a good deal too but typically their prices on things are offensive

I have an older Evercraft socket set 1/4 and 3/8 with ratchets and extentions in a molded case that has been absolutely awesome. I have drug it with me everytime we go to get and old car, rescue someone or out wheelin'. It has seen all the nasty elements and still shines. Good stuff in my opinion.

I've got a 3/8' drive rat that my son had to have. So I bought one from sthephen9666 for him (thanks again). Seen this one yesterday, had to shoot. They are great New Britian tools.

I have owned many NAPA tools all New Britian,Sparta or NAPA pro line USA made never bought any imported line of there tools and always many specialty tools. You really will never go wrong as they stand behind what they sell and getting replacemant parts from NAPA for equipment they sell is also good.

i've got a set of hex bit sockets from NAPA. the chrome on them is the best is my entire toolbox (sorry Cornwell). A co-worker had a ratchet, actually ratchets, that gave him nothing but problems (the Pro line). so i think in general their stuff is good but my personal expirience is limited.

I have their huge tool catalog, there is a few things that have caught my eye in it. just never got around to ordering.

At one time Napa made some fantastic tools and I hunt for them all the time. I am not a lover of the Evercraft tools that they make today.

I have alot of New-Britian and Napa Pro tools. Most have come from auctions and pawn shops, as they are priced between Craftsman and Mac. I buy good tools, but I can't bring myself to pay full price for some odd reason. Dad bought an Evercraft ratchet 20 years ago when we were working away from home on a machine, and it has been trouble free. It was my first ratchet and served me daily for 10 years.

I've purchaced NAPA tools throught the years when I was on a road call and needed a wrench or something but never in set form. The last thing I had to buy was a NAPA 32mm 12 point I bought on a road call for a BMW or Mercedes I was doing a road call on. It is imported and of decent quality but almost fell out over the cost. It was still cheaper than 10 gallons of Deisel back to the shop and saved me a few hours in traffic

I have a NAPA suction spray gun that is still going strong after 20 years.It's actually either a copy or made by Binks,some parts are interchangeable.

Elroy has several New Britain's that were purchased new through NAPA.They're excellent tools. Elroy can only wish they were still available.

As mentioned in several posts, the older stuff was made by New Britain, and was very good quality. Nowadays, much of the product comes from Danaher's (now discontinued?) K-D line and is good quality as well; just not sure what they call it at NAPA, but I doubt it it's their lower end.

My NAPA Pro line ratchets are made in USA. I ordered this ratchet along with 1/2 inch drive back in June 2010

I worked for a Napa store for a very short time when I was 18 (around 2002). Anywho, there were guys that shopped there just for the tools and I don't know about other places but our store had a Napa tool truck. The salesman is now the store manager so I don't know if they run the truck anymore but it was pretty cool.

I picked up a set of the evercraft metric flex sockets last month when they were on sale, they seem to be of pretty good quality.
I also just today got a couple of older tools from the local pawn shop,a rhft 3/8"ratchet, & 5/8x11/16 line wrench.
