Looking at Cornwell 800 Series (24") deep,Snap On KRSC46, and Matco MSC11with all the extra drawers. Which are better quality? All similar price. Would like your experiences with these. Especially Cornwell, dont know much at all about their boxes. Thanks

Like this?? Good cart, the corner bumpers are a nice addition. I think the top Snap-On cart is nicer.

The cornwell is not bad, it is made in china, all their carts are. The matco cart is ok. I looked at buying one when the sliding top model first came out. I really like the sliding top, but I didn't like the fact its a "cart" and does not have a lifetime warranty. For the price, that didn't sit well with me. I'm sure the snap-on is good, I just didn't want the flip up lid. I went overkill and a bought a snap on classic 60 rollaway. It was only a little more and lifetime warranty.

I believe the Cornwell and Matco are actually the same asian imports, with different badges and a few minor changes, to distinguish the brands. So the quality should be identical. I have the Matco MSC4, which is a variant of those two, and am really impressed with it.

I would also look at the Snap-on KRSC326. This is the new cart that just came out. Built in Canada, all welded construction instead of bolted together, nice prybar holder and drawer lockout, comes with nice corner bumpers and looks nice to boot.

I sold my KRSC31 cart and replaced it with this one.

Not quite! He said that he was interested in the Matco MSC11. That cart is built in Jamestown, New York at the same assembly plant as the Matco tool boxes. The MSC11 is a welded cart, meaning that it is not bolted together like the Matco MSC4 or the Cornwell unit. Also, the MSC11 can be customized.

I stand corrected! Cheerfully too, that's great to hear that Matco is having that box built in New York. Also great to hear that it has welded construction.

According to the cornwell website, the cornwell 800 is "Heavy-duty welded roll-cage construction, factory assembled." It is not bolted together like the 600 or 700 series. My friend just bought one of these yesterday. it's a nice cart.

I have the Snap-on KRSC46 cart and it is one handsome unit. I bought the white 90th anniversary edition as a scratch and dent model and love this thing. I can move it from job to job and keep all my most used hand tools in it while also keeping all my cordless chargers in the upper compartment that has an area for that. Nice product. The guy next to me has the Matco cart with full drawers. He had his custom made and it is one nice mobile tool box. Can't go wrong with either one of these top end carts. On a budget, buy the HF knock off of the Blue Point 5 drawer cart. We use these in our home garage. Lots O bang for the buck

The KRSC326 is not as wide as the 46 (just 32") although it is the same depth. I just can't fit a larger cart in the hole that I have and it's a nice size, easy to push and holds everything I need it to.

They just came out and didn't make it into the catalog and is not on the website yet (that I know of).

damn, that looks really nice. Could the lid fold all the way back flush if you removed the struts? Or is the surface raised from the pivot point preventing that?

If i had a job i'd totally jump on this one

normally cost like $800-$1000, and love the paperwork work area and storage.

I called Matco HQ to ask some questions about the MSC11. She E-Mailed me a PDF order sheet. The prices are 33% off list. With a $25.00 discount for ordering additional tops. I couldnt get that lucky could I?

You can remove the struts but the lid will only go back and lay out horizontal. It would more than likely bend the top if you did that though.

You can follow this link & customize the MSC11.

http://www.matcotools.com/toolboxconfigurator/loaded.html

Just an FYI to help Matco people, . . . the site's software isn't friendly to either Firefox or Webroot Security Systems, or both. It doesn't work for my configuration and VERY likely many others as well. I work in the dot com field. I make a living correcting these problems for businesses with bad designers.

I had two msc11's, One was black and the other was blue. I bought them used at a decent price. I thought they were great. I sold them to gain more floor space but may need to replace them soon.

Not student discount. The order form lists retail price and distributor prices. Looks like an order form a Rep would use.

I have looked at the craftsman vs cornwell vs matco carts, they all are built similar but there are differences in all 3 that make each unique. here are some of them I seen,
the craftsman has riveted in slides vs cornwell and matco that have tabs that physically lock them in place.
the craftsman 3 drawer I seen in the store was shorter than the others as well. the 7 drawer cornwell is the tallest.
the matco has a recessed pocket in the prybar holes to handle the longer handles of their prybars.

I am looking at trading in my KRSC31 for the 326 also, can you show me a picture of inside the top tray area?
