I think it was $59.97 then. I bookmarked it and watched. Well it dropped to $49.97.
I told my 23yr old son about it, he said "cool", On 1/4/2011 he said "forward that walmart address to me, I can;t find it". So I did, and in the subject line "order two" just joking. Well he did, got 2 fer $106.00 total. About an hr after he told me he got em, I looked at the site again, price went up to $69.97, he got the last 2:pimpflash.
Picked them up today(free ship, site to store)
I was just kinda "wanten" not "needen" a box just a little bigger than the CM 3-dr Rally on the bench(the grab fer box), didn't give a rats patoot about the tools (figured they'd be "dollar store quality") Trash can bound. But hell they are KEEPERS. Sockets all 6pt., The rats are ProGrade Pear Head Quick Release, 45tooth on the 1/4" and 54t on the 3/8. the tool rolls are good also.
The box is actually 23 1/2"w x 10"d x 11 1/2"h, the measurement on the site is the "cardboard" box it comes in.

i have the 1/2 inch version of that ratchet, and it was my only ratchet for years. i have beat on that thing hard, cheater pipes, sledges, everything, and it has never even reversed on me. not the smoothest ratchet ever (but a little grease has smoothed it right up lately), but a good honest tool.

same with the sockets that came with it. i smashed a 21mm on a snap on impact gun on lugnuts, but the rest have treated me well. good buy!

Same here.

I had it bookmarked for a few weeks before Christmas hoping Santa might be lookin on my computer.

I don't really need all those tools, but thought the toolbox would be worth the $49.

I'll keep my eyes open for the sale (wouldn't shock me if they come back on sale)

I recentley saw this too and thought it looked like a good deal. How are the drawers? - Are they smooth? This seems like a very good price for a chest with ball bearing drawers. Usually boxes this size just have friction slides.

I think Im goign to buy this for the box mainly and might just keep the tools in a more portable box for emergencies and traveling. I just bought the Taskforce 6 drawer chest from lowes and would liek to put this in the bottom cabinet area. I still need to post a review of that box...

Hey all,
The box, is a $40.00 box. Nothing fancy, yes ball bearing slides, but with the short throw (opens 8"), I think full length "friction slides" may be better. With no weight in them, the drawers do bind, if pushed from one end. And there is no real option to remove the drawers, clips and such.
So if something falls back behind, the only way I can see would be, drill out the 4 pop rivets that hold the bottom dr. to the rails and use bolts.
Would I throw it in the back of the truck, No, it only weighs 19lbs 2oz.
For my use, it fits the bill. I kinda like the removable bar for the drs. So lid can be closed and still open them.

As for the tools, they are good quality stanley tools. I priced just the rats & they came to about $25.00 (bought separately). The screwdriver grips are very comfortable for ME, as far as the business end????

As a starter "set" even at $70.00 it's a pretty good deal, even a house, or backup and so on.
It's kinda hard for me, 'cause I have doubles or more of everything it came with.
Very difficult to buy without being able to see or touch, so I'm trying to point out the negatives.

How do I remove a stanley toolbox drawer? Seen a hacksaw blade tool made for snap-on, and others have little levers... there is a socket set accidentally fallen in the back.... picked this up off the side of the road... too hard basket for someone else ....lol517fe099222bec55f04ed7cff77745c9.jpg18cb56128afd34bbc8cd2f02e8c0ab70.jpg
