Did you feed all those people with just one pig?

I haven't seen one of those roasting boxes, pretty neat idea (and I'm surprised you didn't just make one out of old hot rod parts!).

We feed about 100 people, after that it's whatever scraps you can find.

Here is my latest aquisition. It is and Edelbrock speed shop display for valve covers and intake manifolds. It is made of fiberglass and is red metalflake......

Hi Kev,
Fantastic pictures as usual, thanks for sharing them.
Is that your wife in the picture with you and Candy? Very attractive lady...all the MORE attractive because she is cool with your shop/backyard. I just noticed the longboards hanging overhead. You've just cool laid over cool!!

Curious (nosy too, ha..ha) How did it happen that you got Candy Clark to come to your shindig? You realize this kinda makes you the real life John Milner, don't you? Kinda make you want to build a yellow five window coupe?

Oh and anymore shots of the truck in the shot between the highboy and the Merc? Kinda looks like its a sage green but I can't see the other color. Any info?

Yeah mate, just signed up. Don't come here often because I'll just get depressed. Two car garage on a main road with not much cool stuff isn't worth sharing... :(

I really need to have a tidy up and make it look a bit better. :)

What an amazing space. The nostalgic petrol station out the back is fantastic. I've seen quite a few pics on the internet of guys building full petrol station/mechanic shops in their factory workshops. Why not make the office a bit more interesting... helps put that smile on your face as you turn out the lights and lock up for the night.

Hey Kev, just chiming in to say what an incredible shop you've put together!

I've always had a soft spot for vintage rods, but could never find the space to put something together. Now that I've got a house, and am assembling my shop (mostly for working on bikes) I might finally get a chance to build a rod. :)

I'm just down the road in Moorpark and would love to stop by some time and see your shop, and some of you work first hand!

Keep the updates coming!!!

Kev;

I read early in this thread that you bought your house in 1991. I bought my current house in that year too and I'm trying to figure out how you went right since then and I went wrong.:headscrat

Out of curiousity, have the previous owners ever come back for a visit?

Man that makes my ******* hard. I have a question about the Standard double gas pump, I don't think I've seen one that looks like it, do you have a better picture of it. It looks like it might be from the 60's? Thanks.

Wish we had something like this closer to me ... but Kentucky just isnt the center of the Automotive world the way SoCal is ...

I will get on here this evening and answer a few questions and try to post a few pics. For some reason my photobucket which used to be quick and fun has become a total pain in the ***. Can't seem to copy and paste like it used to and I'm way too low tech for these kind of problems.

Hi Kevin,
Your garage is fantastic and you appear to be living the dream bro.
I am curious about the station wagon you converted to a 2 door.
This car is in the background of post #121.
Thanks, Dave

The Willys is still progressing. I haven't had any funds to spend on it over the holiday season so I concentrated on fiberglass repair, mounting the hood, fixing door gaps and I have been working my way around the car with Dupli- Color red oxide spray cans to get it all one color. I have been test driving it around quite a bit. I still need charging system and front brakes which will happen very soon. It is a lot of fun to drive with the 4 speed and 4.88 gears, at least around town.

Dan in Pasadena.....Yes that is my wife of 25 years, Mary Perry. I too think she is good lookin' but better than that she is the sweetest person you will ever meet and the best part of my life.

Here we are dating back in the early 80's. Time flies when you're getting old:eek:

I met Candy Clark at the car show at her booth signing autographs, I figured I would just be friendly and invite her over to the BBQ, I was kinda surprised when she turned up. She said she never does that so I guess I must have had that "safe" look in my eye. As for the green truck you asked about , I don't have any other pics.

ZENMOTO.....If you are coming to Ventura shoot me a PM , you are welcome to stop by.

PC06.... The previous owner was an elderly lady who moved out of state, she has never been back.

BUGTHUG....Here is a pic of that double pump. I got these 2 double pumps for free from a guy in Camarillo back in the late 80's. They were VERY heavy! I sold or traded them off long ago. I was buying and selling pumps back then. They were easy to find at local ranches, truck yards etc and could be picked up cheap. I wish I still had the green double. I don't think I've seen another one.

TOOLOW475....Here are some pics of the wagon. I converted it to a 2 dr by removing the doors and center post and adding 2dr hardtop doors and 1/4 panel sections. B pillars took a little work and some panels had to be fabbed to go from convex to concave on the side panel. Also a couple of pics of a Ford wagon I did for the same guy using Ranchero doors and 1/4 panel sections.

Those gas pumps are awesome, I don't think I've seen anything like that here in Kansas, I'm no expert on these. Is that Malibu a 70? I had a blue one that was 2 door and had a BB 396 or 427 can't remember which, back in 78, was stolen 2 weeks after I got it from my b-i-law, in Denver.
I met Candy Clark and Bo the Pharow(sp) at a fund raising in Wichita, they were raising money to save the Orphieum Theater, and they were showing America Graffiti, bought her pictures and she signed them. Kinda big deal here in Wichita, were not know for to many stars, maybe Don Johnson, and Joe Walsh. Thanks for replying.

I really love the metal work you've done, and hope I have the space (and half the talent) to do something like that some day!
