Good question. I just tried and it comes up full price, although it does say additional discounts may apply after you checkout.

Im not a fan of sears anyway.

Just worked for me. Any 3 open stock sockets for $10. I order 3 3/8 drive universals I needed, and the total came to $10 plus tax... picking them up in the store as soon as I can get over there.

Okay, I got the 2 1/8, 2 1/4 and 2/ 3/16" for 10 bucks and 7 to ship em.

I had bought the 2 1/8 last weekend to get the wheel hub nut off my new '76 Land Cruiser. So I can return this one, keep the used one and make money! Good stuff.

I just tried to order 3/4 drive sockets and the total for 3 came out to over $100.00 in my shopping cart all the way through the checkout process.

I've seen worse. When the rotor gets so thin that it snaps off the hub, and you pretty much lose all breaking capability, post up again. :D :D :D

Bet you're a helluva fisherman too!

I got new rotors and some reman. calipers of a '92 4Runner. Finished the passenger side last night and will get the drivers side done tonight. Then I get to wire up the Taurus fan and it's ready to drive....so I can figure out what needs to be replaced in the steering so I'm not flying all over the road. Fun stuff

Ok what about the sockets? Do you have to go all the way to the end of the checkout process before the price changes to 3 for $10? I want to order a bunch of 3/4 drive sockets.

Do you mind sharing the model numbers so I can do a test and see if it works for me too?

I just ordered 23 sockets (filled in most of my open / lost sockets) including some of the large 1/2" metric sockets as they were almost $9 but for $3.33 it was not bad. If you spend BEFORE the discount more than $99 on your total tool order you also get free shipping.
Subtotal:
$76.59
Sales Tax:
$9.30
Shipping:
$7.50
Shipping Discount:
$-7.50
Order total:
$85.89
Savings Applied:
$-60.38

Judging by your screen name, I assume that you do realize that it is supposed to look like this:

So he wore through the whole first solid piece and nearly all the way through the webbing between the two solid pieces...

I don't get any kind of a price reduction anything I add to my cart stays at the original price all the way to the end of the checkout process.

How long does the in-store confirmation take? I want to pick up my new sockets.

I gave it a shot, 8/10/12/14mm 1/2 flex sockets and 13/16 flex sparkplug, just under $20 with tax.

I clicked through the sears.com page, as well as searched for a couple of sockets directly like a 27mm for my crank, some worked with 3/$10 and some didn't. I guess its what they decide to call open stock.

Half of what I picked out at first did not show up for in store pickup, and did not have a ship to store option, just normal shipping for $6.25, so I removed all of them and will look back at it later.

I just got off the phone with Sears after 45 minutes of the person trying to put my order in and me getting put on hold every 5 minutes they came back and said the sale only applies to sockets that are $7.00 and less despite the web page stating all open stock sockets. I was trying to order some 3/4 drive sockets. They said sorry but somewhere on the web site it states not responsible for errors or something like that.

Yea, I'm on hold now too.

Just refreshed my cart and it dumped about half my large order in the trash....something about the certain sockets "no longer available for shipment"...WTF....

Sounding more like the 3¢ plier deal...the website says "Buy ANY 3 sockets for $10".

I guess the mute button ain't working for my sales associate... I keep hearing her saying "this is f'd up!" in the background. A lot of commotion going on at sears.com...I guess they're only getting what they asked for.

It worked for me on 3 swivel sockets that listed at $8+ each.

BTW, one of my plier orders is still showing as "processing", and my account is still showing the charges.

bmwpower, you need to keep crashing the website...maybe it will get better, LOL....

MORE BS....... Of the ones they pulled from my cart due to "no longer available for delivery", are a bunch of deep 6 points in metric...when I readd them again to pick them up at the store...They ain't getting discounted.

Sears is backing out of their deal minute byt minute...BS.

I tried 3/4 drive sockets it would not discount them, I tried 1/2 deep metric sockets it would not discount them, I tried cushion grip nut drives it would not discount them. Looks like more of their BS to me. I think it will let you buy sockets they already have posted for less than $3.33 for the 3 for $10.00 "one day only sale on any 3 sockets, any 3 nut drivers, any 3 L hex keys. Sears and my definition of "ANY" are obviously different.

Aaaahhh. I ended up getting some universal sockets. I don't have any like that. Hopefully I got a good deal. I fell for the "stuff is becoming no longer available...buy now" gimmick.

Double check your invoice online. I ordered a bunch of flex sockets. It showed the sale prices all the way through the process. After getting a confirmation number I printed an order summary. It showed everything at full price. :wtf: Was on hold with customer service for a 1/2 hour while someone tried to fix it- then the phone system dumped my call.
