Was wondering if anybody had any reviews on the 18v DeWALT cordless impact that is $149 at lowes. (tool only)... I already have two 18v dewalt batteries and charger so loking to just buy the impact. I will be using it strictly for taking tires off, I scrap cars and if they have aluminum wheels I take them off, hence the need for the cordless impact, as I take them off after unloading from the rollback.... breaker bars oare nice, but when doing 12 tires a day it gets old quick.

I have both the 3/8" and 1/2" version. They have quite a bit of power and good battery life. I part out quite few A3 chassis Volkswagens and I can dismantle a whole car on one battery. For some overtightened lugs, very tight subframe bolts or certain suspension bolts the 3/8" just won't quite do it.

Im looking at the 1/2in version, any problems with lack of power for lug nuts from the 1/2in cordless?

I used my 1/2" to rotate the tires on my 3/4 ton pick for the first time without any hassle. Very happy with it.

Also try Home Depot. They have the DW059k-2 kit on clearance for $194 on most stores I have visited. 2 extra batteries and charger for 50 bucks more is a great deal, I think.
