From slickdeals: 40% off on all IN STOCK merchandise at http://www.tylertool.com/. Use coupon code WINTER40.

Warning, most stuff is on backorder and coupon does not apply. What is left has been picked through pretty well already. I looked at Hitachi, Bosch, Dremmel, some Dewalt, etc. all backordered and coupon can't be used. You can order, but they will cancel.

I think this is mainly a drop ship operation and they are clearing out what little stock they have on hand. If you can find something, it's most likely a decent deal, but finding is the hard part.

Good luck and don't say I didn't warn you. I didn't order anything, cause I couldn't find anything in stock I wanted.
I found a lot of stuff in stock way to many to list it all but here is a few of the best deals that I saw:

Ingersoll-Rand 285B-6 Extended Anvil 1" Impact Wrench for $282

looked up at the stock pile and saw one with the free drill... BINGO!

I was back a HD last night for something else so I took another trip to the tools aisle to check the high-up shelves.

And ... there is was!

No, wait. That was some other $199 drill combo.

Damn you all with the three-piece set! I hope you strip a bunch of screws with your fancy new red tools!

I can't see from the pictures but how much of a savings is that from regular price? Also are the sockets USA made or not?

Thanks!

I know this might sound crazy but are the craftsman sockets these days of good quality regardless of COO? I mean for the price it looks good but pretend COO was not an issue, would you prefer the HF ones or Craftsman? The only things to consider in this question is quality and ease of warranty.

This is really true. I've seen the new HF sockets and they look really nice. Always hesitant to pull the trigger though.

+1 I hit every HD in the area, they only had the two tool MW kit. Since the drill isn't in that kit, and is really the only tool I "need", I had to pass.

But, I checked out their clearance section, and they had a pretty good deal on a two piece Makita 12V lithium ion set, a nice drill, a small circular saw, and a bag for $119. So I picked one up. I thought it was a pretty good deal, and had two tools that I kind of need....

I just gap filled a few and when I was comparing them to my 10-15 year old stuff the quality definitely isn't what it used to be, not that the new stuff is bad, it just isn't quite as "good". Take a look on here there was a thread about the "craftsman mechanic sets" the OP on there bought a set and had to warranty a few because of peeling chrome.

I got some HF Coupons in an E-mail yesterday.
image_5591.jpg

Shows this cabinet on sale (w/coupon) for 169.99. Has it ever been that cheap? I REALLY don't need one, but think it will never be this low again.

It's been cheaper, and the coupon is supposed to still work for tool "carts" which this is and the normalish price is 200, so 200 minus the coupon is 160+ tax. Yes, it will be this low again.

YMMV w/ the coupon on this tool cart. My location has the tags clearly displayed on the tool carts disallowing the use of the 20% off coupon.

I was the one that bought that set. and yes I had to replace 2 sockets and have a ratched rebuilt. To be honest though, one socket had flaking chrome and a couple of deep dents, the other one somehow missed quality control.

There was a thread not too long ago where it was revealed that the corporate policy is that the coupon applies only to tool chests not carts. Someone had an argument with the manager and eventually won out. Did the corp policy change?

Someone called HF corporate and they said he could use the coupon. Store manager verified and they applied the coupon.

it blocks it in our computers... so idk...

anyways... the reason that the 20% is there is cause with people knocking 20% off the already low sale prices... thats taking it sometimes below what the cost is on the tool carts and chests.... and doing that in such a large mass kills profits... any smart company would do the same... just ***** that alot of other stuff got killed off of using the 20% off coupon also... i dont agree with all of it... but some yes... and the 1 free item per person per day... I TOTALLY AGREE with... its free, its a privelage... not a right...

just a side note, for those still looking for the MW 3 pc set, if you call HD take it with a grain of salt... when i called the first time they said they only had 2. when i asked the cashier to check the price before he pulled it from the top storage, he was looking around because the system only said they had 2.

i luckily found the 3pc way up high which wasnt even included in the inventory cuz he said there should be another one cuz 2 showed up.. yet i showed him 2 other ones which were the 2pc sets...

any smart company would do the same...

NFL, I'm saying this in the kindest, most non-offensive way I know how:

A smart company would have thought of that before issuing the unrestricted coupons in the first place!

Sorry!

I was the one who called corporate and checked with my local store concerning the 20% coupon being able to be used on the tool cart. At that time they both said OK. I just checked online last night and it wouldn't apply. That may be because the cart is on sale right now, or because policy (And the computer system) changed. 20% coupon only works off regular or sale price, not super saver coupon, and regular price changes too. $169 ain't bad in my book, if you need a great cart. I will probably get one. Should have on New Years Day with the 25% coupon, but woulda shoulda coulda.....

For those still searching, I found one of the 3 pc. Milwaukee combos in the clearance section of HD this morning (Sat.). Looked and looked, even up in the high storage, but it was finally found for me by the tool guy who had been around HD 18 years (according to his badge) one aisle over from the rest of the cordless drills, saws and tools.

3 other employees and I searching on their computers and in the main power tool area couldn't find any!

BTW, inventory showed 6, but of the five I found in the clearance section, only one was the 3 piece set.

Thanks for the tip, whatsitsname!

HD Visit. My local store only had one of the combo kits with no bonus item. Same with next closest store.............but Vaughn hammers in the center isle being closed out, and a Vaughn tack hammer from the regular hammer location, while not marked down on the shelf, also rang up for less. Got:

Tack hammer $5.20 (Reg, $9.33)

Big two faced rubber mallet RM24 $9.70 (Reg.$14.99)

Smaller two faced rubber mallet SF12 $8.10 (Reg.$16.99)

Big framing hammer CF1 $16.00 (Reg. $26.38)

Clerk said I could come back and get an adjustment based on my printed 20% HF coupon........but did I actually NEED any of this???

Damn you Garage Journal!

I was at 3 HDs in the last week, all had Vaughan hammers on clearance, but none had the rubber mallets marked for clearance. I even price checked one and it came up at regular price. Weird. I did get a 16oz and 24oz ball peen, the tack hammer, and a hatchet on clearance.

The big hatchet or the little hatchet? At my stores all Vaughn is on sale except the big hatchet - the only one I'm interested in. Of course...

wireless inspection camera with 2.4" lcd monitor item #66550 for $64

Hey guys,

I just got a great deal on the wireless inspection scope from my hf in PA. for $64 ($79 - 20%) today. I went to the store yesterday, and the guy told me the wired scope was on sale for $119 and the wireless was reg price $159. I checked your site for a coupon to save $70 on either camera that had an exp date 3/2/11 that I had seen browsing the interweb(but was a picture not a scan) .No luck that but i did find a 20% coupon(thanx guys). I called my hf today to see if they would except the picture of the $70 off coupon, and they told me that the price was cut today to $79.99, $10 less than the coupon would have given me, plus I could use the 20% coupon. I don't think this price cut is in the ad, and the wireless cam on hf website redirects to the wired cam, short of going to the store(or calling), I don't know how this info would get out.

I hope my post was helpful and not too long.

I probably stopped at 12 HDs or more in the last few days, looking for the MW deal. Finally scored today. Their inventory showed four on hand, but three were the two tool boxes. I saw one in the cage above, had to convince the employee to pull it down (he thought it was the same two tool item, as it shares the same skew. But I could clearly see the markings on the side, for the free drill. When he pulled it down, he told me it had to be more $$. Nope, same price as the two tool close out.

So those of you looking, just keep looking, they are out there. Unfortunately, since it shares the same item number as the two tool version, calling doesn't work (or didn't work for me).

Does the Milwaukee 2 piece combo kit with the extra tool have the bonus tool marked on the side of the package? I checked the ones on the floor but there were a few up high that looked like the same no. bonus kits that they had on the floor. Thanks.

Yes, as long as you can see one of the ends of the box, it is clearly marked. I will take a picture of the box and post it.

Here are some pics:

5402603163_8af40f13b2_z.jpg

When you consider HD sells the saw for $129, the screw driver for $99, and the drill for $149, getting the combo for $149 is a pretty good deal. Note, the combo only comes with two batteries (that might be why the drill is only listed as a $100 free value).

The thing to look for is the box in the right side of carton (outlined in white). Once you know what to look for, its pretty easy to spot. You can see that this box area is on both ends and the front of the carton.

Notice that the MW code number: 2490-22 is the same, whether it is the special three tool kit or the standard two tool kit. That's the reason calling the stores didn't work for me. They pretty much all had that skew in their system, but every one of them was the two tool kit (and expecting the person answering the phone to dig around in the storage area is probably asking too much.

Didn't know there were two sizes, mine is 13 inches long and the head is 7 inches wide.
