Anybody have a key???

I bought a KR 660-B Snap-On tool cabinet and the seller can't locate a key for it. (Divorce sale) Does anybody have a key for the lock? The lock number is Y223. A local locksmith wants $49 for a service call, $17 to make the key + the cost of the key blank with no guaranty that the key will even work.

I'm trying to contact one of the local Snap-On dealers but haven't had much luck with that either.

If you have a key for this lock, I'd be happy to pay for the duplicate as well as the mailing cost.

Is the box locked right now?

If not your best bet might be to just remove the lock and buy a new one with keys, that way you won't need to worry about having a worn lock and the cost might be comparable or cheaper than a locksmith.
