Elroy offers this 1/4" drive Powr-Kraft 84W4758 dated 1956 as an answer to your question

I have a Powerkraft 1/4 like that, where do you find the date?

"Tootie Roll" to me means the funky looking plastic handle that feels great in the hand.

From 1940 thru 1960, Wright date coded some of their products.

Elroy's example displays the "56" after the part number. This photo is the "as received" condition:

After 1960 Wright went to an alphabetic date code that may or may not be displayed on your specimen

KEH is correct, i was referring to the ratchets with the soft handles:

You also asked for the PowrKraft number.

I have a 3/8" PowrKraft that came in a box of random tools, it had that style rubberish handle. It was so ate up and cracked up that I cut it off. I replaced it with a piece of 3/8" air hose that I slipped on with soap.

Did Wright make PowrKraft? It looks just like one on that site someone linked to. If they did then I will put that ratchet with my good ones, it feels pretty good, but I don't know.

Yes they did. The mechanisms are very smooth. The PowrKraft stuff are hidden jewels

On the other hand, Elroy always considered that Neoprene handle grip nothing more that a synthetic turd copied by every cheap *** import ratchet for years.

Good to know, thanks. I like the feel of it, and now it will see some use since I can trust it.

Mickey, do you have a part number for that 1/4" tootsie roll? My guess would have been 2400 since my 3/8" tootsie is 3400 and my 1/2" is 4400, but google search infers that 2400 has a regular handle.
