each of them will piss you off eventually. I find toolsource has some items that tooltopia doesn't but, things overall cost more at toolsource. Amazon has been hit or miss for me. Ebay has been good to me but, I've also had a couple of bad transactions.
Although not perfect, Tooltopia seems to be doing a better just of letting me know if an item is out of stock. They are a dropship company. I've spent a lot of money there over the years.

I have been using eToolDirect.com for a couple years now and have not had a single problem. Their prices are typically the best. Shipping is always very prompt. I turned all my co workers on to them and they like them as well. Also if you don't find what your are looking for on their site just email them and they will add it.

I always check ToolTopia first. They usually have what I want and they are usually cheaper. I've never had a problem with their shipping either which is free for orders over $99. They frequently do specials where shipping is free on any amount and also some times on amounts over $50...

tooltopia has decent prices, amazon can have some killer deals at times, snapon offers free freight and no minimum.

However my favorites are Mscdirect and Mcmaster for depth of product offering.

Amazon can also be more expensive than the online tool stores, shop around for the item you specifically want.

mytoolstore.com. I do commercial work in Texas but I used to work in Vegas where their warehouse is. My experience is they either have the same prices as Amazon or do if you wait for a sale. Plus they have the obscure stuff.

I have placed a few orders from tooltopia I've always been happy with their really fast shipping and great prices.

Just the other day I placed 2 orders with thetoolwarehouse.net and I was blown away with their excellent customer service. My first order was for some Williams USA impact sockets and my second order was for some Williams extensions + universal joints. I didn't realize that on my 2nd order I bought the Williams stuff from Taiwan (not my intent just a mistake).

Before shipping my 2nd order they noticed the inconsistency and emailed me asking me if I had intended to buy Williams USA extensions + ujoints.

I updated the order then and there and they had the Williams USA stuff in a box that same day.

I've had good luck with tooldiscounter.com as long as you order an in-stock item. Otherwise it take however long for the mfg to get the part to them. Same thing goes for ntxtools.com

Being the Proto junkie that I am, I tend to order from Zoro or Trident, though I tend to use Zoro more because the ship UPS where Trident uses FedEx which is just awful in my area. I used to use Toolup a lot, but seems like the never have what I want in stock anymore.

Ordered from Toolsource twice. Order got screwed up twice.

Why'd you resurrect a 3 year old thread as your first post? Shameless plug? :dunno:

I've bought a lot from ZoroTools recently since they keep throwing coupons at me.

Between ebay and direct website sales, I find myself ordering occasionally from Zoro Tools. What I like most is that even on their website, I can pay though PayPal. No having to give out my CC number online.

thetoolwarehouse.net, amazon, tool topia, ebay and toolsource.com. toolsource has tool manufactures that many don't have.

Thetoolwarehouse.net is awful on iPad iPhone Safari. Not even worth trying I would have ordered from them the last things I needed but not user friendly so tool topia has gotten my $. Amazon is also good and obviously snap on is great, nice to download the catalog on iPad look through it and it brings you to the website if you want to order it, easier sometimes than going through the main website.
