Back in Summer 2008, we tore down our attached 440sq ft 2 car garage and rebuilt it with a new 1590sq ft 30' x 53' attached garage. We did the whole project in about 4 months. I wish I had been more involved in this forum back then, because I've learned so much valuable information since the build. There are many things that I would have done differently with the advice of fellow forum members. I'm hoping that some members can benefit and get ideas from my build, just as I have from others.

This year I'm going to be upgrading the garage with some features that I had to cut out at the time of the build due to budget. i.e. partition curtains, 2 post lift, heat, and possibly vct flooring. Right now, the garage is a "working" garage for my many early Mustang projects.

Attached are some pics of the demo. I'll dig up some other pics of the build, and up to the current progress.

Yeah no kidding. That thing was unloaded and I'm thinking they're just tearing down a garage right? The next day that tractor dug a hole about 35-40ft wide and 65 ft long and 6ft deep for the foundation and casions. Also tore out all of the old concrete and left a huge pile of dirt in the back yard. Had to re-landscape the entire back yard after the project was all done.

I was thinking the same thing, wow thats over kill on the excavator and so much for that driveway. Looks like it all worked out and dug everything up and replaced the drive. Should have had them dug you a pool at the same time, would of only taken them ten minutes :).

Looking forward to the build pics.

I've always wondered what a "Garage Journal Rebuild" of an attached garage would look like. I'm definately looking forward to seeing how this progresses.
