SK Speeder Handles

I have 2 (1/4 & 3/8) SK Speeder handles, and right out of the bag / box the knurled Handle squeaks. I was kind of expecting them to have some sort of bearing. Anyone else have Squeaky Speeders ? Best way to stop it?

Had the same problem. A couple drops of light oil down in the handle and it cured the problem.

You mean that there may be some that do not come with a squeak. All of mine of multiple brands including some that people will argue with me about have had squacks and squeaks when new. A little light oil to start and then the oil dripped on them while using them quiets them down.

I squirted CLP in my 3/8" that I picked up at a local auction...no more squeakings!

I must really be a knuckle draggin caveman. I have had a 1/2" Craftsman speeder since it was new almost 30 years ago; the center rotating knob squeaked from day one and I never gave it a thought from that day to this!
