IT DOESN’T GET SAID OFTEN ENOUGH

I’m coming up on my 5 year anniversary of using (and abusing?) this website, and I can’t remember ever personally thanking Ryan and the rest of the folks involved with keeping it running. I, like most of us, just take websites for granted. I have no idea what level of effort is involved, but I’m sure it takes more time than I could ever afford.

Who remembers when this place was called “garagejunkies”? It seemed like every other new member started out with the old AA line of admittance - “My name is John Doe, and I’m a garage junkie”. Although the old name wasn’t bad and kind of funny, I think the new name you selected is much more appropriate - it truly has become a personal journal or log for my (and many others) shop build. It’s a great forum to share my experiences with other people.

It’s funny to think that a simple Google search one day back then lead to a way of life for me. This website has become quite a driving force to keep my build going over the years and maybe someday, with the continued push from here, I will actually complete the ASYLUM!

So again, a whole hearted THANKS goes out to you guys (and gals?) that keep the wheels turning.

I'm coming up on being a two year member. GarageJournal.com is one of the first sites I check everytime I log on the internet. I learn something almost everytime I am logged on here. There are some very smart people that post on this website and I thank them for spreading their knowledge.

yes, I agree, I am new to the site but there is so much information on here that if you need something all you have to do is just ask and you will get help on anything. Thanks for having a fantastic site for all of us to come to.

I can't believe it's been almost 3 years already! Add my thanks for a well done site with good sponsor exposure but no intrusive advertising. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! It's an honor to be a member here and Gear Journal.

I agree too often good deeds go unnoticed.

Thanks to all those that run the site and thanks to Shopnut for starting this thread.

Yeah, I like to think of it as a hobby or a way of life more so than an addition.

I guess I’m in denial.

As I read the above posts, I kept want to quote it and confirm my agreement. Then I'd read the next post and want to do the same thing. :D

I'm an Admin on a fairly large car forum, and I know that the time spent here by the staff truly is a labor of love. THANK YOU for your time and dedication to a great site and forum!

Gosh, count me in as well. This site is what pushed me over the edge to finally attack my shop and make some real progress. While nowhere near done, it sure is nice to see progress. To the powers that be.....Thanks for all you do!!

Well said. Add my sincere thanks and testimonial to the "good" you have added to the world of garage guys and gals lives. This community has been invaluable as I contemplated, then initiated, and now close to completing my garage project.

I appreciate the work of Ryan and all of his moderators as well. Just deleting spam is a relentless and thankless task. Keeping the occasional 'internet tough guy' in line when he decides to pick an argument with the world can't be much fun either.

Tom and I would like to thank Ryan and everyone responsible for maintaining this forum. Our life has been changed in so many positive ways during this past year. Truly, our circle of true friends has expanded around the world - what an unexpected gift! We've learned a lot and have thoroughly enjoyed sharing our blessings with all of you.
Thank you!

what jack said.

so many other forums & message boards that i had become a member of over the past 10 years or so, are full of so much BS and internet "bullying" they aint even worth going back to.

thanks to ryan, all the mods, and the good members here

This is good to hear, because dealing with those types of folks invariably leads to being called a fascist or something similar. But, I am 100% committed to snuffing out tough guy bullying garbage when I see it. And if you think I've missed it, please send me a PM and let me know where it is. It's nice that we have a civil and respectful community, but people do get out of line from time to time.

I agree 100 times over! This is and has remained the most informative, passionate, yet generally civil site I frequent. Thanks to Ryan and all the mods for that.

It's also the most damned addicting site I frequent.

My wife, however, would probably have some different sentiments:
"How can you read so much about the garage!!!???"
"Talking to the garage people?..........AGAIN!?"
