Years ago, my workshop was my social center, with all kinds of people stopping by to visit or have a little project piece made or repaired. Since the flood, losing my shop, and moving, I had lost out on that and a lot of my friends for the last 10 years or so. I wanted to badly find a website where people interested in the same things I was hung out, because as we all know, most people don't understand the shop/garage thing. One day I did an internet search for workshop and also garage, and look what I found! This is undoubtedly the best website for my tastes that exists on the web. I want to thank all who participate, and especially thank all who have a hand in running this site. I deal with a lot of LTL truck drivers as part of my job, and have been surprised to find that quite a lot of those guys are workshop types. They have all been given the website address so they can also join in. I'm even thinking about printing cards to pass out, that's how much I like this place. Only thing is, I'm not getting done as much as I used to.....Time to go make another tool storage rack!

Thank you Ryan , and your team of moderators. This forum has provided more motivation , info , entertainment , perspective and escape from the daily BS than any other medium I know of. Its a great community to be a part of.

My heartfelt, sincere thanks to all who make it happen and all of those who partake. I'm a member of several other forums (motorcycle and car related), but it's here where I consider myself one of the gang.

Ill start where the last one left off....

I agree - Thank you Ryan and staff! Thank you Mods! This is a great place to spend time and learn.

I wouldn't be here if guys were just bashing each other. Life's to short for that B.S.

GarageJournal.com is one of the first sites I check everytime I log on the internet.
I learn something everytime I am logged on here. There are some very smart people that post on this website and I thank them for spreading their knowledge.

Thanks to all the moderators that keep this the best place to go!!!

My preventative maintenance program on cars, compressors, small engines and anything else with moving parts has been improved tremendously..that is all to the credit of the people here

Thanks Ryan, this site has put yearning, dreaming, planning projects and completing some back in my life. I check this site before my emails and my screen saver is Jack's lastest version. Your work and energy are appreciated by all of us!

Absolutely agreed. My garage would not be 1/10th of what it is without this site. I don't know if my hands/back want to thank you:lol_hitti...

But in all seriousness, THANK YOU!!!

This is my favorite site, I'm on here everyday, and the people on here are the best, so encouraging. Love it.

Thank you.

This is a great site and I've enjoyed the hell out of it. With the inspirations on here I have managed to pick up more projects and not get my old ones done...
Thanks and keep up the great work.

A special thanks to Ryan and the rest of the crew. Thanks for giving me something to keep me from being productive while at the same time giving me the motivation to be productive......I think that makes sense. Anyways thanks.

Agree with all the kudos above. Ironically, I tend not to be much of a long-term forum guy. I find a forum for the project (boat, kitchen, 4x4, etc) I'm working on, gather whatever information they have and move on when the project is done. I never expected to stay as long as I have. Other sites tend to develop a hierarchy of members or devolve into an online repository for a handful of people to hurl insults at each other and berate others ideas. I'm thankful to the mods, Ryan and members for not letting this site fall into those traps.

And yes, it has cost me thousands of dollars and hours. I'm unrepentent and unremorseful.

Agreed. I always said I'd never join a MB. And my GF constantly reminds me about it.

But I am sure glad I did!

And it didn't take three eyes to see that!

Put your money where your mouth is. There is over 18,000 active members. If every member decided to donate just $5 that would make a nice $90,000 + thank you.

Thank you from me, also...(is that bad English?);)

I wasn't here when this thread started and I'm glad it got bumped.

I signed on about 6 weeks ago and since then I've learned a lot, got some neat ideas and found out these guys can fix anything but the crack of dawn and a broken heart!

Thanks for a great and friendly site!

Tim
