Starting the planning of my new garage & thought I should check in- just in case the HAMB police are here too. ;)
Got lots of questions about floors, cabinets, ceiling height, 4 post lifts.
Just got plans back for my 20x22 attached garage- I already have a 3 car for other stuff. This one is mine. It's as big as city will allow. :(
In process of bids. Traditional stick & stucco w/ tile roof to match rest of house.

Welcome to the GJ,if the police are here we will take good care of them,I am positive we must have a box of doughnuts somewhere! Be sure and ask all your questions as we have all been there and made a lot of mistakes along the way!

Got to fight w/ the city next week to see how high they let me go.
It will be a 2 car garage- far outside wall will be 8'2" & vault up to 13 ft at opposite wall next to existing garage. Existing garage roof has to be re-framed & extend the ridge. Area where lift will be will have ceiling height side to side ranging from 10'6" to 13 ft, 22 ft deep.
Should be plenty for my little roadster.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of great threads on shop projects that others have built. Lots of good ideas, from flooring, to heat, to whatever.

Myself I am working through a very similar situation here in NC. I have an existing two car garage, and want to build a 3 car workshop. Restrictions here are making it difficult right now. Right now the house has bigger problems (I bought a 1934 duplex in rough shape), so I am going to address them first before attempting the workshop.
