Which GMAV (MIG) gun do you use?

When I use to weld a lot a few years ago, I used a "custom" Bernard Q-Gun with my Millermatic 210. The centerfire consumable were pretty useful since I didn't have to go through my tool box looking for a wrench each time I had to replace a tip. The weight, size, and built of the Bernards were nice. I sold my welder with the gun awhile back and I am looking to get into it again. What gun is everyone else using?

I use what ever comes on the machine, would be a different concern if I was specialized and continuous but for general work I don't care as long as wire and fire come out of it.

Bernard Q300 and 400 here. Hard to beat the centerfire front assembly.

I switched my MM251 over to a 15' cable w/M-25 gun. I really like the smaller size and ability to get into tight areas. Mike.

Hard to beat for the money, I've run Twecos, Millers, and a few others I can't remember. The Bernards are nicely made, comfortable, and feed well. This is the Q200 I installed on the 212.

Nice! Same setup I had except that I had an older MM210

what welder you are getting? you don't need a 300amp gun for a 200amp welder. I had a MM250 with 12foot M-25(250amp) gun, they were a solid pair.

Probably the 212 or whatever is the most current at the time of purchase. I had the 210 and absolutely LOVED it. The drive wheels on the bigger unit are WAY better than the smaller MM120 and Passports (I owned both of those at one point too). I don't typically weld thick metals to really "need" the 212 but the drive wheels are so worth it! I will probably go with the Bernard Q200 again.

When you purchase your 212, talk to your distributor about swapping the gun out for a Bernard Q gun. They should do an even swap for the M-25 that comes standard. If they don't call Bernard or Miller directly and tell them what you want. They should send you a Bernard gun, any configuration with a box to send them your new M-25. I know it specifies swapping Bernard guns only, but I believe if you ask nicely, they will swap out the Miller (M series) gun.

Thanks dragginbalz, didn't know something like that was even possible. I'll most likely end up ordering from Cyber Weld again (it's where I got all my other welders). Being that they have pretty damn good customer service I wouldn't be surprise if they do it.
