So my dad was in town last night, and I knew he was coming so I told him to bring his ratchet collection so we could give it a good cleaning. I had recently found the threads on ratchet cleaning and picked myself up some craftsman professional snap ring pliers and some super lube from HF
My dad has quite the assortment, so I thought I would share some pics of the after. Please feel free to comment, I would love to give my dad some more history on some of these older ones.
Keep in mind, most of these were passed down to him from my grandfather(his dad), who used to be a refrigerator mechanic, and owned a farm and worked on tractors too. Some cool history wrapped up in these tools.....and boy did the cleaning help!!! Some of these were a night and day difference after we drenched them with brake cleaner and re-lubed them!
Enjoy
