Well, I'm still not done with the garage redo, but I had some pictures to share and needed some motivation to get it finished.

As you can see I did use one of the suggested thread names, thanks ShadowDog.

So here goes, working with basically 19'X18', it started as an organized mess, I just have too much stuff for a basic 2 car garage, but I figured I could make it work with a little determination, a little cash and a LOT of CL hunting.
So here goes, hope you guys like and as always, please give feedback, suggestions, compliments, hate letters, verbal bashing whatever you feel.

Well, that's about it for now. I really need to get crackin on it again, but I have a few honey do's to take care of first and I need to get some yard work done this week. Hopefully I'll be back in full swing starting next week. Hope you enjoy!

Looks like it's coming along great. You are right, (as you said in my thread) your garage is very similar to mine. I'd like to see the "Track Storage" when it's done. I was actually going to buy one of those retractable lights too. Geez, you even have one of my drills.

Thanks, it's a small space to work with but if it's what you've got you work with it. Check out Jack Olsens 12 Gauge Garage, He has pictures of his sliding door storage. It's actually going to be tucked just behind the track, no interference with the door.

Yea I picked that drill and flashlight combo up on black friday a couple years ago. It's been great! Love the C3 stuff, wish I could find more of it on sale.

Some great ideas right here!
Thanks for sharing and getting the wheels turning for my garage!
Thanks for the encouragement. Have to admit, a LOT of the ideas came from GJ, thanks to everyone!

Nice and clean. Looking at yours, I realize I need a sharper blade in my circular saw.

Great job so far! Keep going!

Thanks Jack, this was only the second time I have used my table saw, so the blade better be sharp still! Yea, i'm gonna get back to it next week, still need to finish that side cabinet and I've got a couple other things I've "borrowed" from here to incorporate into my garage as well, so those will be posted as soon as they're under way.

I sure don't expect to make it into any magazines with my garage, but I think it'll suite me just fine. Congrats by the way!

Looking good! Is the Nighthawk yours? You look a little too big for 250CC

Is that a fat joke? haha, well, most of the pictures I posted have my dad in them, not me. He rides a 750. A 250 is too small for him, probably for me too, but the Nighthawk was my first bike, had to start small to learn. It's about to go up for sale and i'll be buying my dads Shadow.

No fat jokes here
You were in one pic painting next to the door. Let's say you look normal size.
That is a good bike to start with. But even the 750s aren't exactly powerhouses. I should know -

Wow, nice bike, a bike just like your's is what made me want a Nighthawk. Yea that's me painting by the door. You're right though at 5' 11" and 175 it's a bit small. It was really good to learn on though.

Well, the 750 shadow is just and intermediate bike until I can get my Suzuki SV650S or Ducati Monster 696. I know neither one is rediculously fast, but i've ridden Liter bikes and I just do NOT need that kind of power. I would kill myself or go to jail! haha

Well, it's been WAY too long since my last update. The garage was basically 90% finished when I decided to tear into my truck to rebuild the suspension. It turned into a full frame off and held up the garage for a little over a year. So I'm back and I'm onto a new build. Here's the only picture I have of the mostly finished tiny 2 car garage.

So, the new project. We sold our house and moved to northern California and purchased a house with a 3 car garage!! The outside picture before we purchased it.

Here's a shot of the inside:

So I'm in the middle of trying to organize, put everything away and get the rest of it painted. I'm going with a surfer/hotrod shop theme.
I chose my paint color based on a bottle of Zymol car wash. It seemed like some good colors for my theme.

Here's where I started, the 2 car side, had to patch like 30 holes from the previous owners, then started with the gray, added the blue on top and finally the strip down the middle.

Next I started building a 4x4 cabinet to try and store all of the awkward stuff, like the camping tent and random car parts.

I also did some modifying of a locker I picked up a while ago so that it would rest just right in the corner between the 2 garage doors.

I also picked up a husky workbench/tool box from home depot. It's really well built and was perfect to store some of my non automotive tools to get them out of my regular box.

Also picked up some metal pegboard units. They're from a company called Wall Control, I got them on amazon. I found them a while back and finally pulled the trigger on a couple of them. They come in lots of different colors, sizes, and horizontal or vertical orientation. To keep up the surf theme, I trimmed them in bamboo.

Here's the mostly finished front wall of the 2 car section.

I'm hoping to get the rest of the major details and chores done this week. This is as far as I've gotten with the single side.
