Picked up a used box last week and spent some quality time with my 18yo stepson giving it a needed cleaning, waxing and lube. It was in a heavy truck shop prior to my purchase so it was well coated and full of diesel oil and dirt. Some of it helped to preserve the paint. After the removal and cleaning all the drawers the drawer slides were lubed and new liner material from HF cut and installed. Greased lightning did the cleaning and Meguiar's cleaner wax removed the paint overspray and added a nice shine. The top is a leftover piece of backing from a bookcase project and a 2 coats of water base poly. It was well worth the time and was a great day spent with an upcoming mechanic.

Nice! I love spending time with my 17 year old Grandson. I tell him what to do while I sit back and drink beer, lol

Nice box & nice clean up job! You and your son did well...now who gets to call it his?:lol_hitti

Well, it is meant for him but will have to work it off! In the meantime I get a cool box at home that actually holds everything.

I think one of my co-workers got one of those brand new in the mid 90s; they were the lower line boxes but still well made! :) Man that thing looks mint after your clean up job! :)
