Looks like alot of space until you notice that theres at least 5+ cars then a 3 car seems small :D. Looks like a nice assortment of toys as well .

I hear ya..mine don't seem to mind when they've got something wrong with one of their "drivers", but I still get the occasional love letter from the HOA,
representing an "anonymous" complaint... 4 years, 6 months until retirement and the acreage...

Nice place there, it looks quite full. What's the future retirement plans ? I noticed the word "acres".

Back to Southern Ontario where there are four seasons (as opposed to two here), lots of land (woods), and a huge shop with no neighbours... hanging up a shingle for resto work and welding....

Great Space. I am in the planning stages of a 3-car attached. How did you decide to put the 4 post in the middle as opposed to either end?

How do you use the lift? I've got a 3 car also and the ceiling there looks as low as mine.

thanks for the compliments guys, sorry I missed the refreshing of this thread, I was offline for a while leading up to the holidays. I've finished a restoration on a 67 Camaro since this thread started and will post pics in the next couple of days. I've made a few changes to the space to continue to add more functionality using the existing room.

As for the hoist questions, it's a 12 foot ceiling so I use the lift at about 60-70% height which allows me to stand under most vehicles (I'm 6'1"). I don't use it for storage as I decided to heat the shop with radiant heat, which doesn't allow for stacking with the heater on as the upper vehicle would be too close to the heater.

After 6 years of use I decided to bolt the lift down in the middle bay for a couple of reasons, first I always felt that the hoist would be more solid if bolted down (it is- it's completely immovable now) and the center bay allows for better access to the vehicle when performing major work like axle removal.
