All-
After much Googling and reading on this board, I'm still at square one in trying to figure out a how big I want my detached garage/shop to be and what type of construction I should be considering.
Requirements:
- Store 2 cars side-by-side at the front of the structure (nearest the door)
- Enough space to install a Bend-Pak 2-post lift in the back of the shop, assumming 12' clearance for the lift.
I know 24' wide minimum is standard for 2 car garage, but I'm thinking 28' might be better for access. As far as depth, I'm thinking 40', not sure if this is overkill. Also, steel or stick built for the Boston area?
Thoughts?
