ok, I thought it's time to post my built.
moneywise and permissionwise it took me a lil longer to build it.
I had to cut down a lot of trees before i was able to start.
I did everything by myelf from cutting down trees to lay the shingles, except of poring the concrete.

right now I'm ready to order my rollup-door for the front and prolly it gonna be exteded next year about 10'....

This was the first time I built sth like that, so constructive feedback is welcome.

i just had to park the astro in its new home...

the shingles are used ones but for free, so I have to deal with the twotone first. Either I gonna get new ones one day or I gonna get those coated.

that's how I had to leave it last year, cause I had some issues going on with the dime...

So, like i wrote before, I gonna order the frontdoor i the next two weeks to be able to bag the astro this winter...
On the outside finish I have to decide between wooden paneling or (like I was told) plaster directly on the osb.

Looking great so far!!

Much respect for tackling most of the work on your own...cutting down those trees in the beginning must of been intricate not to damage anything nearby.

the most scary thing was cutting the tree right by my uncles greenhouse(his pride) which i got rid of, since the yard belongs to me and we finally put it on his land, so i can build me a deck with a outdoorkitchen.
the only thing I broke is the fence on the left side, that tree next to the greenhouse fell and hit it with its crown. but only two poles broke and i bent the wire back up.

getting the main beam up was a pita without a crane, but with the help of 4 buddies we managed it.

is the header over the garage door one solid piece of wood? What size is that?

yes it's one solid piece. I can't remember. I try to figure out from the plans, when I come home 2morrow...

I used to have a set of those same wheels, 20" KMC Stealths. I had 'em on a chevy fullsize short bed bagged.

I sold them when I body dropped the truck because they no longer fit offset wise.


I always liked 'em.

Jey, I have to admit mine are not the KMC Stealths. I only got MSR 173 from Eagle Alloys...
But I love them as well!!! Just got me a second set cause I scratched one of them.
Thinking about using 2 f the first set on a trailer... hahahaa

I spent 5 of my years with Uncle Sam in Germany. Back in the 60s and early 70s. Saw a lot of masonry construction. But wood framing was almost unheard of and OSB/plywood? Never. Must be cheap Russian milled lumber. We are starting to get some of that here.

Bib, since the 70s a lot has changed....
I wanted to build it the americn way.
But wood framing as a noun is still not common in germany till a few realize, all the prebuild houses that u can order are build like that.
And more and more people are getting into building houses by using wood, because of the ecological aspect and the better isolation...

I hope here's enough wooden chips left over by the industry, which is used to produce OSB instead of using russian wood or even toxic wood from tschernobyl....

last weekend i just took a shelf out of my cabinet, turned it upside down;
closed the corners with my welder and put a crate on top.
So this is perfect to store my oils and funnels....

yesterday I bolted a 19" aluminum rim on the wall to hold my air hose....

As for the roll-up door, seems like I'm getting an sectional door instead, cause it's cheaper, but the company gonna come over next week, they said...

IMO go with concrete (Stucco). I do not see any pressure treated sill plate on the ground. Not done there? Should be treated with something.

the sills are painted with tar-bitumen color.

I love the computor set up and monitor!! Very high tek!!
If you look through mine, you'll see I had to go OLD school - a corner shelf (Plywood!) holding the wifes old 15"....at least I have satellite...

Meanwhile the dime got a 350 in there. As u guys can see on my webpage i did a lot to the underbody of the stro, cause it was supposed to become a showcar, but sadly it became my daily...

edward, i wish i had satellite in the garage, but yeahm that was something i planned way before i was sure how the garage should look...

about the drip tray, i was just sick of oil rings in the cabinet and oily cans, so i just turned a shelf board around, took my welder to seal the edges..

ok, the concrete slap was bigger, because i always planned to extand the garage - i finally did.

behind the garage was a garden house for a long time, where the compressor is in:

i moved the shed off the concrete and started some framing

got no pics inbetween because the sd card deicided to disappear.

well, i moved the the cabinets i scored last summer to open the back wall

Sorry Utah, had to use red and black for my stripes.. just matches the toolboxes..

The 6x3 meter addition gonna be for fiberglass and other stereo work, so i'm thinking about a sliding door/wall system between the garage and the dirty part of the garage.
Thinking about moving the regular bench to the back too but dunno yet.
The addition already seems so small with the cabinets on the left and the right. Don't get me wrong i definitely recognize more room, but in my imagination it seemd to become so huge....
