Been doing a lot of research and reading for my upcoming new shop and floor. I have came accross several threads in other forums and places discussing Colored Acid Hardener for concrete flooring. Some are diamond grinding it to get a Smooth finish while many are just applying the acid hardner and seem to be happy with it. Pics look great but we all know how that can be. Threads say the by hardening the concrete it makes it impervious to oil spills and much more wear resitant to draging machines around and vehicle traffic. So my question is has any one on here used it and have feedback. My shop will be a Working machine/welding/vehicle shop so its gonna get lots of abuse. I am liking the sounds of it so far but looking for more info if anyone has some.

You have your products mixed up.
Reactive Stain (acid stain) is used to impart color and that is all it will do.
Lithium densifier is used to harden concrete. It may be a good choice if you have concrete that has not been sealed yet.
A better bet might be a urethane sealer.
Polishing is an option but I would never recommend it to a rough and tumble garage man and certainly would not recommend you try learning how to do it on your floor.

These are dry shake-on products.
The color hardener is powdered lithium with a pigment built in.
It is only on the surface and will wear out eventually.
Liquid densifiers penetrate deeper into the slab.
If you have not poured yet and you want color, add the pigment right into the cement truck and you will have color all the way through your slab.
Once cured 30 days, spray a densifier on it and you are done, done, done.

I had looked at many of the epoxy's and what not and have been worried whether or not they would hold up and most say they wont to a hard used shop. But this looks to be a pretty good match for what I want and need
Also just noticed the link for the densifier you listed, in the checklist they list the available densifier with water repelant. Is that recomended or needed. Oil and antifreeze would be my biggest concerns.

No worries the penetration is very close to the surface.
Few millimeters deep.
The integral pigment is an inert naturally occurring material. Non-corrosive.

How oil/anitfreeze resistant (spills) is the densifier?
is the densifier PLUS on your site the way to go? Says it has twice the amount of lithium and is only $30 more per 5 gallon. Not really worried about diluting it (800 sq ft per gallon) but 2400 sq ft total looks like 6 gallon would do it
I like the idea of the pigment in the concrete but not seeing a color I like all that much

It will help the concrete resist salts and abrasions.
Anti-Freeze and oil resistance will actually improve as you burnish the floor with traffic.
