SNAP ON ratchet repair help

I have purchased a repair kit and need to get the ratchet apart. I removed the screws but the plate will not come off? It is a TM70A. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Pull up on the square drive.

put the head in a ziplock bag and tap it on the edge of a bench.

use a small hook and pick set to pull the plate off by the holes

Tap the the drive gear on the back side. If that doesn't work, i have threaded the screws from the front and gently pried on them.

Here is the final product I converted the TM70A 1/4" ratchet to a FM70A 3/8". Thanks to Snapmom for the cover plate, and thanks to everyone else for the help getting the ratchet apart.

That is the right tool. It is in MrShaun's signature line...but a dab of grease can do wonders.

They're not available. You can try and find a 71-10 or 71-15 on ebay to get the parts from, or send it to snap on to get a dual 80 back.
