Dumb Air Line Question

Never have owned a retractable reel air line but I am thinking about getting one. They all have a round chunk of rubber or plastic that keeps the hose end from going all the way into the reel. This rubber stopper looks very close to the connector where you attach an air tool. Does anyone find that this stopper gets in the way or is too bulky or whatever other problem you may have with it?

You can move them - mine are ~12" from the end of the hose.

Yep, got mine set at about 3 feet.

You move the rubber based on the distance from the ceiling to the floor... What good would it be right at the connector if you had 14' ceilings!!??
