Ladies and Gentlemen,

Legacy Industrial has been supplying concrete solutions for many years. Some of you have used our concrete repair kits, poly-aspartic coatings and certainly our densifiers and sealers. We supply the full gambit of products but have never offered a DIY kit for home-owners.

We have been working on that very thing over the last several months and are very close to a release of this exciting product line.

We are looking to send (2) prototype kits into the field.

Kit # 1 is our water-based offering, including coating, flakes, mixer, roller/sleeves, mixing vessel, safe-etch, and a urethane top-coat.

Kit # 2 will include the same. However the base coat will be a high-solids product.

We need (2) home-owners with the following credentials:
300 sq ft. or less garage/shop floor (no basements)
Ability to take some good photos (before/after)
Able to give a good report on the experience (likes, dislikes, etc...)
Enthusiasm

Now to be considered, please post some pics of your garage, include your dimensions. We will make a decision by Friday March 18th and post on this thread.

Remember, the kits are not "free". Your payment to us are the photos and the write-up. We will also post your photos on our site and blog after the testing.

Man, you better hope your in-house lab tests were done accurately and the field tests are successful. If you get two test "subjects" from GJ and you can't "deliver the goods", your company name and reputation will take a beating here on GJ.

Seen it happen before.

 Damn, my 1500 sqft is too big! Bah, welding sparks and steel casters abound in my cave anyways. :( Good luck with your testing, can't imagine where the idea came from!

Jay:

I appreciate your concern and I did think about it.
However, these coatings are not new. They have been in our line-up forever.
We never put them together with all the items you need in a DIY kit.
The chemistry is solid.

I've got 320 sqft, but I'd need to do clear over my VCT. Let me know if this is something you're interested in.

I'm going to finish laying my VCT tomorrow, so am ready to go as soon as you can get it to me.

I have a 430 sf garage (18'x20' main area with an 8'x9' work/ storage area). Photos are below for consideration. With the warmer weather upon us, I have been itching to address the floor in my garage.

I have a 1 car detached garage (Approx 20' X 10') that I am going to start renovating once it starts to warm up here in MA. I would be interested.

The garage is full right now as it became the catch all for alot of stuff but I am going to be getting a dumpster in the next couple of weeks and completely clearing it out (Including the little bastich mice that decided to move in.)

Sorry for the low quality pics, those are from my cell as the batteries in my digicam are dead.

There are very few cracks on my floor and only a couple of small gouges. It does need a good cleaning though.

I can't wait to clean that thing out.

We have a clear for VCT. Check our site.
Unfortunately, this is not something we need to test.
Thanks for the offer though.

Hi, I am very interested in testing this product. My wife and I closed on a new construction in Dec. that has a two car garage, 380sq ft. The dimensions are 19x20 with a 2x9 inset for storage. The floor is brand new and clean but the garage is now full of stuff leftover from the move. Now that we are settled in on the inside I told my wife it is time to get the garage in order. I can provide great before and after photos as well as a detailed write-up. PM sent as well. Thanks.

Just posting some pictures for my above reference:

Footage is the following:
10' 2" Width
19' 6/12" Length

garage.jpg

garage2.jpg

And Yes I can still park my STi in there with walking room to spare.

The walls are going to be painted as well since we are just coming out of winter I didn't see the need to paint while it was 15 degrees outside...lol Paint theme will probably be dark gray on lower 3-4 feet of walls, followed by red 1" strip all the way across each wall, then a lighter color above so it still stays bright in the garage.

Thanks,
-Nigel

I wish my garage was that neat LOL. Hopefully the snow will melt low enough soon so I can order my dumpster

The funny thing is I still have some stuff to move around in there...

I came from a HUGE 2 car garage from my last house that I was in... I could almost park 3 cars in there.. Had enough room for two lifts (one on each side) with still TONS of room around... Then I moved in with my fiance and was very sad at how much less space I was acustomed too...lol Surprizingly though, it's not bad, most work is done right in the driveway but you'd be surprized how efficent you have to be when space is at a premium...lol I kinda felt like I understood how the japanese are because they follow the same concept of how to utilize space..hahah

I know right? I have a basement but the ceilings are too low for any real "shop" type effort and I really need a space for projects (plus a way to get away from the wife and kid occasionally LOL) I had my 77 vette in that garage with the snowblower, lawnmower, box etc, I am still trying to figure out how I made it fit LMAO. I have since sold the vette and things just started piling up. :(

I have a 14x28 2 story garage that was built within the last year.
Within the next few weeks, I'm insulating it and adding painted osb paneling downstairs.

The "shop floor" area is 317.25 square feet, slightly larger than what you originally asked for. The garage sits on a layer of block as per local code, so you have the width of the block taking up room. I also would not be doing the 3x9 area under the stairs, as that is where the compressor is, and is getting enclosed.

I have a digital SLR camera, and my work requires me to be able to write clear detailed reports, so I would be glad to do a full detailed write up, along with numerous pictures.

*and don't worry, the rapidair lines will be much neater and attached better after the paneling is on.

I just built onto my existing garage and have two small rooms, 180sqft, one being an office 6'X20' and the other will be a rest room and where my floor heat equipment is, 6'X10'.

The ceiling and walls are OSB with two coats of clear MinWax urathane. I'm planning to put a product called Crete-Defender on the floor. So if interested let me know.

I only do digital pictures now and can document the application with words and pictures, etc.

I've been thinking about removing my existing coating from my floor due to a few chips and deep scratches and putting down something new. At roughly 440 sf, my garage is a little large for a single kit though.

I have a 250 square foot one car garage I have been looking to do the floor on. My fiancee and I just moved into the house at the end of January.

The garage is currently a disaster, as it is getting painted tonight. It should be all back together before the 18th so I will add pictures to this thread then.

Thanks for the generous offer.

I have access to have pictures taken with a quality camera and have the ability to take down precise notes during install and to produce an accurate report based on the product before, during and after install.

I have a 1 car garage roughly 250 sqft (about 20.5ft by 12ft) floor is concrete, had a coating the house builders laid down thats mostly flaked off now; would definitely be nice to lay down something new. I also have a Nikon D90 DSLR I can take pictures with also. Please see pictures below:

Scotty, Im currently doing a large remodel on our home. The remodel includes a laundry room, roughly 250 square feet, large bedroom, bath, and den.

The intended use of the downstairs long term is to be used as a rental. The laundry room currently houses the laundry and a large freezer. When done it will be completely redone, floor to ceiling, and new features will include a kitchenette, pantry, etc.

I would love to field test your product in the laundry room. It is the only floor in the house that is concrete, and Ive been considering epoxy coat of some sort, but simply am not to the stage of needing it just yet. I just finished with the bathroom plumbing, new tub/shower unit, and am currently working on sheetrock. Let me know if you are interested.

Ktm and Shocker guy have agreed to help test our new garage kits.
Our coatings have been in use for years. However, they have never been packaged in a "DIY" kit.

I want to thank everyone for sending in the photos and notes.
Hopefully, these (2) fellows will be posting some photos in 3-4 weeks.

Thanks again for your help.

I too got my kit! It's been 40 degrees here all week, so I plan on doing it once the temps raise up to at least 60 so that it adhears properly and that I can take proper phots of the before, during and after..etc.

In the mean time got to order some acid..

:)
