This is a good price. I have both Weller and Hakko. I prefer Hakko because of the number of wands, tips and accessories offered. Weller is a good entry-level station.

Tooltopia has their Weller WES51 soldering stations on sale for $78.99. I've been waiting to find one at a good price and i bought one today after i saw the price on amazon go down.

Here's the link:

For anyone who does tuneups, Amazon has a Proto 13 Piece Ignition Set on sale for $53.51 with free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime (or free shipping regardless as it is over the $25 limit). Smallparts.com also appears to be matching this deal. Next lowest price I can find is $96.68 on Google and $112 on Amazon.

I have a very nice Weller, but the tips are expensive, check tip costs before you buy and make sure it has all the tip styles you may want.

I have this one and the tips are expensive!

Today Menard's marked their 3M abrasives down 75% for clearance.

Menards3M_1b.jpg

For less than a buck each I picked up 3, 4, or 5 packs (depending on grade) of sheets/discs for my detail and random orbit sanders.

Menards3M_2b.jpg

I also picked up a bunch of sanding, stripping, and surface conditioning discs for my angle grinder for dirt cheap.

Sorry, pictures are from my phone.

Apparently they are replacing 3M with Masterforce abrasives.

I was looking for a few random files to add to my tool bag in my pick up and ran across these.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001T4K1O6/?tag=atomicindus08-20

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000S5SVBW/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Needless to say i bought both. At a little less then $20 shipped for 18 Nicholson files i think i did pretty good. It did say 3-6 weeks on shipping but I'm in no hurry at that price.

Thanks. Have been wanting to replace my crappy HF files...looks like a good deal to me too!

I bought 3 sets of each and the price went up over $100 on the one set after I did. I also found this set: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000TDIMD0/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Are all the Nicholson files still made in the USA?

There were a few other sets just as cheap also. I'm not sure why their that cheap but it's better to catch it before they do. I did look those up on eBay and their $50+ there.

Got the US set, seems that the other set might not be US made? 98 off one set, could not pass that up! Thanks!

Thanks for the tips on the files. On the product pages it said 3-6 weeks for delivery even though it sounded like they would be here soon when I check out.

I also picked up the Proto Ignition set mentioned perviously. I had been watching that one for a while.

It looks like the ones without handles have USA on the packaging. Granted, this is Apex so it could just be an old pic of a product that has been made in China for a few years. A great deal either way.

I actually just went back and added another set of each to my order along with a set of the ones that Defender Chassis posted. Deals like that are far and few between so i'll just stock up or trade my buddies for other tools.

I've been considering adding to my little 5pc Craftsman set for awhile now, so I ordered both of these. It is TOO hard to pass up a deal like that. Thanks!

who wants to take bets on how quick these orders get canceled? lol

Ill still ordered 1 of each. FYI I think these sets normally run about $50-$60 each. I hate how amazon inflates Retail price to make it look better.

What are you thinking? Over/under or closest to the actual time? I say Monday at 3pm. Im with you on the inflated price. Actually thought the one says the retail price is just $1 more. It kinda weird for sure.

I hope it's for real.

Ordered 3 different file sets. :)

Do you think there's a pricing mistake?

I guess that it was a good thing that the damn cat woke me up to play tonight...

I just snagged one each of the three sets also. With the free shipping, it came to $27. You can never have enough files. Hopefully, they will not cancel the orders.

If they do arrive, I think I'll add the roll up kit with the file card to my truck tools to replace the couple that I keep in there.

Oh, for what it's worth, the easiest way I've found to keep a couple of files sharp and in good shape when left in a mobile environment is to slip each one into a length of bicycle innertube.

Checked the links in the earlier posts, and 3 in my cart are the ones from those posts, so in for 3 kits. My first "nice" files.

I'm in for the 3 sets too! Guess it pays to be sleepless once in a while. As for the shipping date---who cares at that price! Thanks for the heads up.

I ordered one set but I think you may be right and it will get cancelled. The reason being that the price did not go back up after several purchases were made.

There is a problem here. But, if anyone would honor a pricing mistake, it would be Amazon.

There are a lot of us into this lets see if Amazon does the right thing and honors the mistake for us all. Like you said if anyone will honor it Amazon will I have never had a problem with Amazon yet.

So I showed my wife the file deals on Amazon...and even she got excited and said, "Order more if it's that good of a deal!"

I love my wife. =)

I've got to ask.. Did you really wake your wife up to show her a deal on files? If so how did you not get hit with the night lamp lol. I'd be dead if I woke up my girlfriend..
