Looking for a 3/8" bent neck (off set) flex head ratchet. Have only seen the Craftsman ($30.99) and the Gearwrench sparkplug set ($60 +). Not looking to spend big money. I have the Gearwrench 3/8" flex head pass through set and like it a lot. Really like how it locks into position. Anyone have either of the above? If so please express your opinion or if you have another brand to point out tell where you picked it up.

I've seen the SK 3770 and 4875 (Tuff 1 version) for less than $50 around the web. I've had the 3770 for years and really like it. Same internals as the 45170s that last forever.

I plan to make my own using a duralast 3/8" flex ratchet and this OEM o2 sensor wrench handle. Total cost $22.99 duralast, + $19.99 for the OEM o2 sensor wrench = $42.98
Plue I get to turn the Duralast handle into a breaker bar !

In all honesty, this Craftsman ratchet is pretty nice. My partner has 200K in Snap on equipment, but insists on using this damn ratchet every day. He loves it for some reason...

I do like the feel of this ratchet (in hand) however would prefer a fine tooth. Prolly could have used it today as I was having a heck of a time pulling the starter from my Landcruiser. Not bad for the money tho.

Check your local flea or tool trucks, I scored a NB made Husky 3/8 bent handle that was given to him in trade for a Matco version for $10. The spring for the detent was shot, I took the spring out of my CMan flex, swapped it out and took the CMan in for warranty.

I'm going to second (third?) the recommendation for this one. Easy to obtain, very well made and above grade for Craftsman anyway. It feels nice in the hand, has good heft and the chrome is quite nice. I love mine and would not part with it for anything else I've tried so far.

I think it has 36 teeth so it's not completely coarse, but I agree that a fine tooth would be even better. Barring that, and consider the price, I still say it's a good option to keep in mind.
