Thinking about adding this 42" round enameled metal sign that I mocked up in this picture...it would be quite that large but almost...it'll fill that whole space.
Wifey gave me the OK...what do you guys think?

wow, nice garage and nice cars, man!!
i dunno about the sign, would it make the garage even more attractive for theives?
my garage is behind the house, so it's not visible from the street.

Beautiful cars and garage. It must take you forever to get them to shine like that. I get to see many of the cars at Kruse International when they come in as I teach at the auction school on their lot and yours look just as nice as some of the ones that come through there.

You may want to white out the plates in the pics for security.

I am a former cop and have many years of public safety experience. It is possible to trace license plates back to where they are registered without too much of a problem.

I don't want to make this a big issue - simply trying to point out that we all have to be careful about what we put out in view of the public.

Very nice...all the way around.
While I always preferred the full-framed cars, I have lately been thinking the Camaros have a certain appeal...;)

Sure, everyone sees your license plate when you drive the cars, but on the internet, there might be some unsavory people that might come looking for your car when you are not home. It is called minimizing the risk.

Its not paranoia, its net prudence. When I take pictures generally now out of habit I frame the shot and angle so; license plate, street address, street signs, or generally anything that "locates" me too specifically can't be seen.

Another thing I warm people about are pictures of their keys, often including with the warning a link to a place that makes keys from pictures for less than the dealer cutting a blank. Good reason though to take a couple good shots of your keys to keep in a safe place.

While I like your idea and the sign my first thought was... It's a real attention getter BUT, ' Do you really want to be explaining it to the local zoning folks '. Service<=>business in a residential neighborhood.

Maybe not a problem for you but I'm certain it would be for me. Oh btw the iron is magnificent!

so go for the sign!!

My thought also. And a gas pump would go along with that perfectly:thumbup:

It's also possible to find the car by ways of looking where your from as in "right underneath your avatar". I never did understand the plate issue either. If someone wants the car, they can very easily figure out where you live by starting up a conversation on the "net" and then go from there. Or if it is a local that wants to steal it, then they have already seen it many times around the neighborhood or word of mouth, or driving by and seeing it. Go to any hotrodding site on the net and you can pretty much pick out any car you want and get an approximate address without too much trouble. Probably easier to do that than it is for the average person to try and trace a plate. I would be more troubled by someone posting a VIN number. But that's just my $.02 worth and that won't getcha anything. LOL!!

There are sooo many ways to get an owners address...I won't even get into that here.I'm certainly not going to stress about my license plates being exposed on the internet. My cars are protected and insured,I'm ready for them, bring it I say...

Are the doors shifted to the left? Something just looks off center.

Yes they are sharp eye!:wtf: ...that was done for a reason too.

The wall on that side was getting close for me to be comfortable positioning my car into that stall so I had him move it over 1' I believe to make it easier...and now no worries.

I love the looks of the pavers and the slab! You had the slab poured larger than the building from the looks of it. Are there footers under the outside edges as well as the building perimeter?

I also like the rollup doors because there aren't any rails taking up needed space. Are there decent garage door openers for rollups like those?

Not into four-wheelers but the garage setup I'm envious of. What are your plans for the floor surface? It looks great now but do you plan on covering it with something to avoid the wrench-chips?

footers line the entire perimeter of the slab.
