Stanley 35W HID Spotlight regularly $72 marked closeout for $10 at Walmart. P/N 001048677 likely that number has been removed from the system so it won't show up as a good number. Don't confuse this with the 5W model which is not on closeout, this pooch weighs 5lbs. Checked every Walmart around here and they are gone. Those are absolutely flamethrowers with HID technology; if you are lucky enough to find some available buy an extra and pm me... thank you!

Went to Lowes today. They have several tools on clearance. I picked up the two pack of Knipex pliers (7”and 10”) for just over $10. Purchased separately they are about $55. I also picked up a set of SAE hex long ball end sockets for $19 normally $29. I also noticed they also had 8” adjustable Crescent wrench for $5 and some change normally $12.

Can you post a receipt? esp for the knipex. I'm assuming its now a non stock item so even price matching might be up to the manager. And mines a Dbag :( Cheaper the better though as I know where the extras are that the computer doesn't know about :)

Shows out of stock on all the local stores. Not too far from a place I need to go in a week or so does show in stock, but no price info. I know better than to call, so I'll just have to wait and see how my trip goes in a week or so and stop in if I have the time. Often times in SoCal clearance is 10% off or worse I seen as little as a few pennies off regular price.

Your gonna most likely get nowhere trying to ask them for a stock check on the Kinpex's. I called 3 local Lowes and checked online and all of them said they didn't have them. I went to all three and after personally checking the overstock, I found at least 2 at each of those stores. I found 4 at one of them and bought them all. That was when they were like $18 so they must be continuing to mark them down.
When you go, you need to look in the electrical tools isle. You'll likely find the sticker for them, but none will be there (this has been the case in all of the Lowes that I've been to). Above the electrical tools you'll find a bunch of boxes with overstock items in them. Usually they have the part numbers of the items inside, written on the boxes with marker. I dug through all of the boxes that had Knipex part numbers and that's how I found them. You'll have to be sly about it cause Lowes management isn't thrilled about finding customers on their ladders, rifling through their overstock:bounce:
Luckily for me, my local Lowes employees avoid customers like the plague so I didn't even get noticed in any of the stores as I drug the stock ladders halfway across the stores and continued to climb to the top of the shelves for 10 to 15 minutes...:lol_hitti

regarding the Walmart Stanley HID spotlight:

the Walmart product number is meaningless. I gave it to a store associate (actually two) and they said that number is worthless. They will need a SKU number to see if they have the spotlight in stock. Here it is: 0089745000206

Where would the spot lights be in the store? My local WM does not have them but I am on a job an hour from home and they supposedly have them in stock here. Plan is to go after work and snag one.

Where did you see this price advertised? My brother is at our local Wal-Mart right now, they show that they have them in stock, but they don't have that price listed anywhere. I'm curious as to how you came apon this price.

Interesting re: the Stanley light. I bought a spotlight from Sam's Club a couple months ago for $30 or $40. It's a Stanley, looks just like the one at Walmart, has a similar description, but as I recall it was rated much higher than 200 lumens. Another possible option to consider. I'm thinking of buying more and reworking them into home security spotlights.

I was looking around online and someone had mentioned they found this HID light on the same shelves as the car batteries.

Yup, its confirmed. My brother just picked one up at his local Wal-Mart (the last one they had) and it was in the automotive section near the car batteries. It had the $10 sticker right on it.
I'm beat! I'm working until 6am, so I can't even begin to look for it until tomorrow afternoon...

As usual, my brother said the employees were worthless and basically walked him around aimlessly for an hour until they finally just told him they didn't have it. He finally broke away from them and found it himself in the auto section.

reedwesd,

Would you please post a picture of your Lowes receipt with the Knipex pliers set (7" and 10")?

I went to my local Lowes this afternoon. The 2 pack set is currently priced at $20.98.

Thanks,

Dave

X2, I got the last one at the New Martinsville, WV WalMart. It was marked at $50 and was on a rack with a different model that was $29.95. I thought they were the same at first until I took them both to be scanned and the one scanned for $10 but the other at its full price of $29.95. Lesson learned: do not believe the tags. Tall all available to the scanner and see what comes up. Btw, thanks to the OP for spotting this deal.

Wal-mart is useless! Website says they are in stock at my local store here in Boise.
I called at least six times asking the board operator for the hardware dept., she couldn't get anyone to pick up, not even a manager.
I didn't want to drive there and find out they didn't have it, but I guess I will if the website still says they have one.

For the HID Spotlites, YOU CAN'T CALL. It's been my experience over the last two days that they have no idea even where to look for them. If the internet stock check says they have it, it's real time so they very likely have it. I located them at two different stores and at both, the employees looked at me like I was crazy, but both had them. They were in the automotive section NOT THE HARDWARE section or the tool section.
Cherry Hill, NJ had 4; I got one, my dad got one and my brother-in-law got one. The Cinniminson store had 1 which my brother got. Both store managers told us they didn't have them and that they didn't even know where they would be.
If the Internet stock check says they have it, I'd urge you to look really good in the automotive sections as well as the clearance isle.

They won't really match off that. I did the same with some gladiator stuff. Well, atleast my store didn't care. Others may vary since I believe its non stock now.

I finally got through to someone at my local wal-mart store. I gave the lady the UPC code and she went right to where it was, unfortunately they are sold out.
Here's the UPC 0089745000206

This IS the light everyone is talking about.. the HID3000. Regular price $72, marked down to $10. I wasted about 30 minutes of my life on Wal-Marts TERRIBLE website swearing and yelling the whole time.. features as simple as "search nearby stores" work about as well as eating soup with a toothpick. The "nearby stores" were 25 miles away while skipping the 4 that are in a 5 mile radius... anyway, if you select your store on the website and put in the SKU 0089745000206 it will tell you if it is in stock or not. I just drove up to one and sure enough, they had one on the shelf marked $49.95 on clearance. Scanned it and it was $10.

Thanks for the tip J. C.!

Not to sure how many engine builders and assemblers there are here. Here's a 12 pack of assembly lube for rite at $20. I usually pay around $10-$15 a bottle.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001RERUUG/?tag=atomicindus08-20
1) I think that's what everyone around here calls the Red Lube of Love
2) Be careful with Amazon and stuff like this. Every single time I've ever ordered a "Pack of ***" for what seemed like a good price, only a single item showed up.

Re: Stanley HID Spotlight...No luck at the 9 closest Walmarts but may have found a different way to get one. If you find a store that has one you can request an MTR (merchandise transfer request) from that store to your local store. They may or may not do this on a closeout item. There may or may not be a small UPS fee to do this. I finally found a spotlight (and a helpful Clerk) who transferred me to a friendly Manager who issued the paperwork and hopefully I will have it in a week or so. You'll need the Walmart SKU#, 4-digit store numbers of the originating and destination store, and a Manager willing to help you out. Hopefully I have one on the way, time will tell.
