Facom in UK & ebay

Hi Everyone,

I am in the market for a new wrench and socket set (Facom, Gedore...). I've found a few online shop in the UK but just looking at some of the sites out there you'd think that they are out of business. So I wouldn't like to throw my money at something that is not reliable.

I'd appreciate if members can post reliable online stores located in the UK or even trusted ebay sellers I might consider. Fake stuff is not something I'd like to buy so your help really appreciated.

Hi Jononon,

You know that is one crowd I looked at. Their site looked so outdated that I gave them a miss . Well if you say they are reliable then I will have a look at their price list as well ..

It's true, it does look terrible, but it's always bang up to date in terms of content. They had the Britool Expert items online a matter of days after the new catalogue launched.

O man everytime I look at their site my eyes starts to bleed and I feel like a toothless hippie (I am) ...

On a more serious note they do carry quite a lot of manufacturers...

I too have used Primetools to buy a lot of my tools. Agree the website is not the best but have found them very reliable, tools packed properly for shipping and turn around time from ordering very good.

If you speak directly to the owner Julian Candy as when I spoke with him directly he gave me reasonable discount

I've mainly purchased Beta & Gedore tools.

Ive recently started buying tools from TBS Aachen as recomended by Monte on this forum and they too have been very good but located in Germany.

It pays to shop around as my last order from TBS only cost 9.95 euro delivery and it was a very large order with quite a saving compared to buying in the UK

Do you know anyone in the US military? They can order Craftsman through APO or FPO. My ex brother-in-law did this for people when my sister was stationed in Germany.
