I saw it was at $169 with less than a minute left and I thought that was crazy, refreshed and saw it closed at $255.00 which is completely nuts.

Someone really wanted that ratchet , they probably saw it "advertised" here as when you mentiuon something on this forum the price tends to skyrocket.

If you want one just be patient , they will be available before too long and will sell for about the same price as a FR936.

i dont understand why it would sell for so much. In all reality, there is no current situation in which someone cannot perform a job/work w/o that ratchet...so why not just wait and buy it off the truck?

The standard f 3/8 ratchet is my absolute last resort to use in my box. I just cant believe how these tools get ran up like this.

What if this is the only FR80 ever to surface and Snap On will not go with production of this model?

It IS a production model ,not a prototype or anything else.

If your impatient contact the seller maybe they can STEAL another one from Snap On for you ............:shocking:

Or just wait until Snap On sells their existing stock of the FR936 out then it will be for sale.

So the only quick release they make is 3/8? What about 3/8 flex? I'd like a 1/2 flex with quick release, is that made?

Snap On has never offer the QR in anything but the standard handle in 1/4" , 3/8" and 1/2" drive in the 900 series and 3/8" and 1/2" in the 700 series.

You could make any style 3/8" drive QR you like if you use an older (large gear) 700 series ratchet as you can remove the dust cap and use the rebuild kit for the F723(A) QR ratchet, part # RKRAF723

Thanks
If it doesn't flex its worthless to me, I rarely grab anything but a flex or a round head
