I was killing some time this morning and I happened to drive past what looked like a garage sale. I turned around and went back, didn't see much in the tool department besides this old little box off in the corner. The lady told me to go check it out, so I dug around and saw a few Proto sockets and a couple of Proto wrenches, didn't really spend a lot of time looking at it. I asked her what she wanted for it and she said "$5" so I handed it over and left. Once I got home I dug through everything. Most of the stuff is pretty rusty and some of it was in really bad shape but I think the keepers will clean up well. The diamond in the rough so to speak would have to be the Plomb double box end wrench.

Everybody seems impressed with the breaker bar, however I can't find any brand markings on it. It's seen quite a few snipes, so over the years the name could've gotten marred to the point where I just can't make it out. However I did find what I'm assuming is a model number, 3222. The adjustable wrenches are in fact both Diamond. The 10" looks like it got a stress crack at some point and was welded for a fix.

It's a Rapid Hitch brand. I got mine thru a friend at a dealership, but usually places like 4Wheel Drive Parts or Camping World carry them. I would also search them out online.

Oh, and something else. I noticed this little guy this morning:

There's got to be somebody on here that needs this thing.

Most of the ones I come across are tractor wrenches. They are fairly comon.

I have a new nephew named Ford. I have been using them as gift tags when we get him something. I figure in a year or so he'll have enough for drawer pulls on his dresser.

I think the tool box would be a good submission for the current "Ugly tool box" thread.....Tools easily worth the time and $ invested.

That box looks like it got thrown off the top of a building and then hit by a truck. Nice tools inside though!

I seriously doubt it. That is one of the most common wrenches ever made. I find at least one most times multiple ones every time I go yard saling or to flea markets.

I found several Ford wrenches in my barn when I bought my house. I was smiling ear to ear expecting them to be pretty valuable. My buddy reminded me that every Model T came with a tool kit and they sold 15,000,000 of them :(

Yea they are literally everywhere if you look. It is funny to go to some flea markets and see vendors wanting big money for them just because they think they are worth something as a collectable. My buddy had a 5 gallon bucket about half way full with them and he is going to weld a table together with them when he gets it full.

Yeah, I've seen guys make a big deal out of them.
They want like $20.00 for them.
Thanks
Tony
