Great article. Just don't read the comments. It's clear that they have a lot of commenters that don't see the whole picture.

Comments like "But the T5 fixtures can have mirrored reflectors" make me laugh. There is no reason why the other fixtures can't use a mirrored reflector and I'm sure you can find them.

I am glad that they stated right off the bat that LED is less efficient and a high start-up cost. Too many people think that LED is the most efficient lighting when modern florescent and HID are both more efficient.

currently the best efficiency to cost is to use the T8 high output
the T5 is a little more efficient but the cost is higher and the bulb replacement is higher

Yes. I ended up going with some black painted ones (from the factory, custom ordered for a display) and painting them White inside with primer and gloss. With the 3200k bulbs and having 3 of 11 installed it's amazing. Can't wait to hang more!

Oh and LED is more pleasant. I get tired of fluorescent lamps
