So I ordered a toolbox from snapon and they gave me a vitran tracking number, however when I checked the number it shows that it has been in chicago for 4 days now and there is no appointment scheduled, the thing is am I suppose to make an appointment with vitran or get a call from snapon? Since I'm in maryland and they are suppose to ship it here..

I have to assume that vitran is the trucking company. The trucking company is supposed to contact you for the delivery appointment. In my experience, online tracking with trucking companies is nowhere near real time like UPS is. Call the trucking company with your tracking number and ask them. You will get a better answer from them than you will on this forum.

Mine took about 6 weeks from Iowa to N. Illinois, United Van Lines. This was just last month.

Original ship date changed a couple times in that time frame, until I got a call at the shop one day to say it would be in around noon the next day.

I called up vitran twice, both times the customer support was surprised that it was picked up on June 8th and was still in Chicago today, and both times they had the supervisor check the dock for it, and they said they'll call me if they find it, and I haven't gotten a call back so this is going to snap-on, I already sent them an online query and im calling them tomorrow morning.

aklass that is your problem. when you place an order through industrial it can take some time.
also every freight company *****. chad u r right. no matter who it is they freaking ****.
ups brought a kra2496 to me with out a lift gate a while back. luckily i was there and helped lower it on to my lift then down to the ground. they damage everything they can and i think they do it on purpose.

I kinda had no choice, since our rep got canned last month since he only showed up with his truck once every 6 months, and took his personal car if you owed him anything so nothing got warrantied.
