Hit the pawn shop on the way home from work looking for a heavy ball peen hammer. Found one and a bunch of other goodies, the whole mess set me back $10.00

The pawn shops around Ausitn are really cheap when it comes to tools.
I think it's because Austin has never been much of an industrial town.
Before the semi-conductors moved in it was all state goverment ,University jobs and musicians.
The down side is it cost ya $35 to get a tire mounted and balanced!
I just drive to San Antonio where it cost you $7.00

same story here in savannah,tons of military here,guy's sell tools because there moving or going away for a few years.i've bought a lot of expensive tools for 10 cents on the dollar.my friends who run them are not tool guy's,all they care about is the money.i've seen them pay 40 bucks for a 400 dollar tool and sell it to me for 65,they only care that they "made" money.
