Hi folks,
I just picked up a smaller Snap-on torque wrench that I'm going to be using for motorcycle work. The model is QJR2100E. I'm just wondering how old it is and whether it's worth re-calibrating or not.
Any input willbe appreciated!

Always good idea to re-calibrate when you buy used ones. People even re-calibrate new ones.

If it has a SO ratchet head, they often have the SO date code between the words on and off at the selector lever. You can use this, if it is on the ratchet, to date it.

Sorry about the large pic. (I'm new to smartphones)
Do you guys simply give your torque wrench to the tool truck guy when you want to have it re-calibrated?

Not that old, thinking 80's or early 90's.

I just give them to my dealer for recalibration. My dealer has a tool on the truck that will check it against a gauge that's mounted in a test bench fitting. I had my 1/2 and 3/8 clickers tested a couple months ago and they were both dead on. Both were purchased in 1998 and they are used and returned to the cases religiously and never loaned or dropped.
I think people on this forum go overboard with recalibration advice.
