I just don't get why these craftsman speed ratchets are worth so much money. Hell for the kind of money they are bringing in you think they would start making them again...

I think they should make them again!

It is a neat tool. I bought mine for $25.00, but probably would have gone higher. I do use mine very little, however I like it for what it is. A nice piece of history, and a great conversation piece.

I wouldn't sell mine for less than $300 anyway! :bounce:

A waste of money if you work in a shop. A collectors item, but not a money maker. If it can't help me in my shop, it does not stay in toolbox.

It's a neat piece of history. But if I never have one, I won't be sad. Same with that Snap On/Blue Point dogbone extender thingy.

It is just that cool though! I will continue to be on the lookout as I have been for years, but only for a reasonable sum though, ie. not stupid money! To me no more than $30.00 tops!

It seems like more people are starting to collect old auto repair tools now which is driving the prices up. I think it's neater to collect old tools than, say all of those gold plated tools.:bounce:

well yes and no.....i kept a set of 10th annv matco wreches in the walnut case then traded them to the matco guy for a $200 puller set. i think i had $100 bucks in them so it was worth having them for 15 years. thats the thing about collectables they aren't worth a damn to keep, they are just something else to dust, but if you can turn a coin..........
