Essentially, the Alliance toolbox tags weren’t of the quality that I was expecting. So, I threw em all away and have started over.
If only all tool company quality control engineers shared that mindset!

This is awesome. Any word on the cost to get in on one of these?

:thumbup::thumbup:

It's part of an annual subscription program that will be $50 a year. For the dough, you get discounts from our participating vendors (real discounts, not fluff) and a toolbox tag for every year you are a member.

What is they say ? Some good things take longer to perfect.

I like the idea it will join two forums by the alliance. One question for you. Will those here on the GJ also be shown as Alliance members on the HAMB if they are members of both forums ?

Due to a tech issue, you will only shown as an alliance member on the site that you signed up on. Along the same lines, you will only get a tag from that site as well...

They actually looked really nice. And I damn near went with them... But they were just a little too thin. I want something that feels as good in the hand as it looks mounted on a box - ya know?

Will the discounts cross threads from GJ to the HAMB and vice versa?

Nice, I certainly enjoy all of the benefits and rewards of being a HAMB Alliance member. Great that you are doing the same thing here on the GJ. Good luck!

okay hot rod grille how does this alliance thing work???

The Alliance membership cost $50 / year to help support the best darn site on the internet! As an Alliance member, you qualify for discounts from a group of vendors that "signed on" to the program. With the HAMB there is a list that includes Coker Tire with a 15% discount. Since I have bought several sets of tires over the years, I saved more than the $50 each year (just from that one vendor). Rodder's Journal is another vendor that I use and save money with my Alliance membership. It's a "win-win" situation for all involved!

so the next logical question (at least in my mind) is: What vendors and discounts are currently on the list?

Agreed...it really should be called the Hokey Ass Menstrual Board. Way Too much flamin', posing and flat-out unfriendly types to suit me. After reading 1 too many rants, I chose to never join. Some guys just like that kind of thing....I'm not one of them. I've met several of their ilk at various car shows in the area...they aren't much better in person either.
