I am looking for the steel spring clips that attach to the friction drawer slides to lock the drawer in place on a Craftsman tool box. Does anyone know where they can be purchased. Thanks

Man, I don't know, other than Sears parts dept maybe. Those spring steel clips were discontinued about 25 years ago IIRC. They went to "dimples" on the rails and on the drawers sometime in the 1980's. When the drawers are closed, the dimples ride over each other and interlock. I liked the clips better. Easier to take apart and just a better design IMHO.

Wow, I was just browsing the forum, saw this, remembered one of my older boxes missing one of these, and ordered it already!

Great forum.

Here is the link from Sears Parts Direct: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/par...SMAN&modelDesc=8-DRAWER-ROLLER-CABINET&blt=11 Hope it helps. I need to order a few and it took me a couple of hours searching Sears websites to find them.
Wow.... the search feature works great on this forum. This is exactly what I was looking for. I also searched the Sears website and even "chatted" with one of their consultants but since I didn't have the model number of the box, I was SOL. :(

Joined here and within minutes, I got a direct link to exactly what I was looking for without even having to post a thread. :rocker:

I love this country... :bounce:
