Conduit and ground wire, what size?

Running underground service to the new shop, single phase 240v, 2/0-3 wire cable, what size conduit & fitting do I need to use for this cable ? Also what size ground wire do I need to use ? Thanks, Ryan

way to many variables to give an answer.

to what are you grounding


also, almost all of this is covered atleast once a week, you can find it easily with a search.

Or in the time it took to write that u coulda just said use 2 1/2" conduit to make wire pulling easier and a #1 copper ground with an 8' x 5/8 rod, thanks for the help. This ain't rocket science, btw before I get flamed for this I got the info from my electrician friend whom I couldn't get ahold of earlier.:beer:

there was no way i could give any correct information. but 1 AWG to a ground rod is a waste of money, Not required to be larger than 6AWG, also unless you have a way to prove one ground rod has a resistance of less than 25 Ohms to ground, you'll need to drive two.

I didn't see where the OP said what size amp feed he was running. I assumed he was trying to get a full 100A feed. Never mind, I see he's running CU I was thinking AL
