Hello everyone. Just noticed the introduction area. I'm from Kansas City, MO. Was born and raised here in an old design house. I'm here because of my love of architecture and building. It's part of what I am and what I do. I found this place from using its sister site, The Jalopy Journal. My compliments to the man behind the curtain; these are some great places you've built.. It's a privilege to be here and enjoy what's being shared.

Welcome to GJ, Grim. I've been following your diamond in the rough rebuild. Nice shop. And its nice that some can see the diamond instead of all the junk and too much work. Keep it up and you will have something everyone else wants.

BTW, I'm not familiar with any other forum for houses, but I have heard there is one for garages. And many of them come with a house attached!

Thanks friend!

Pretty sad state of affairs ain't it :p123? Especially since I've been cruising this joint since May of 07 . Not much of a small-talker though, so I don't really look at the General Discussion area where this is at. Seems I'm always looking for specifics or whole projects.

On your 26th Post you found the introduction section.

Wingnut 65,

Thanks for the welcome friend. Glad to hear you're with us on our project. I hope you enjoy what's to come. We have a long way to go, but that's good for most here because it should get really detailed coming up. Right now it's mostly clean up, but that should change pretty soon. First big item on the list is ripping the roof off to open sky and starting over. Sharing a good flat roof install we thought might help some people out. We've researched it and found a company that'll offer us a warranty on the leakage of their materials for the rest of my life. We have to fly up there and be trained at the company to get it though, so we're looking forward to that one.

I'm glad to have all of the positive feedback. Everyone here seems to be a real cool bunch of people. Can't wait to get into the fun stuff; wait until you see what we're going to do with the old semi trailers.

(Haha, thanks for the forum advice ;)! I'll might try you all out when we start to put together a house next. I think that would be too kool to do one on - architectural design and interiors and all. I'd be curious to see what kind of kool advice we'd get from all the experience on here.)
