Which one would you get?

Looking to get an Dewalt impact driver

Saw these two and talked to the guy.

Has the following:

dc825 with tool and case only. No battery, or charger for $75

OR:

dc825ka with tool and case, two batteries and charger for $170

Both are brand new never used...

The thing is I have two extra 18v batteries and a charger here from my circular saw from dewalt... So that's why I think the 75 dollar impact is more practical worth while.

It's not the lithium batteries and that's fine because I don't care about that.

Any pros or cons to the above.

is that the style of impact driver you want? More for construction use? They make them with the square drives for mechanic use.

If its just for you, and you already have two batteries and a charger and dont think you will be using both tools nonstop at the same time you should be okay i would think.

Yep that's what I want it for more for lag bolts and things like that..

I already have an ingersoll rand Ti impact gun for the car... got many many things for the car..lol But slowly want to expand my "home" project arsenal...lol

Just wondering if the above are good prices? Seems good to me but not sure if the extra 90 bucks is worth it for the charger and two battiers.

I was planning on going to amazon to pick up the new charger that charges from 7.2 up to 18v's since I have a 12v dewalt drill as well.

Get the 825, it has the shorter base to match the lithium batteries. It uses either battery, but if you use the 825a with lithium, it will have an ugly overhang at it's base. I know you stated you don't care about lithium, but I gotta say, you'll really appreciate their light weight!

is that why the newer dewalt stuff I had bought doesnt look like it fits the 18v regular battery
