I just got these today in the mail as warranty replacements from Proto. Some Blackhawk tools are imported, but these are USA made.

I'm a little surprised. I didn't think Stanley had any screwdriver facilities left in the US. The Proto screwdrivers are made in England. I wonder if these are made in the facility that makes the USA-made MAC screwdrivers? I guess they could also be produced by another company.

The Phillips tip is a unique design. The only other brand I've seen use this style tip is Enderes, but they no longer make screwdrivers.

They don't look very exciting, but how do the handles feel in the hand? Does the chrome on the shanks seem nice?

I dont believe thats a "New" Style is it? I have some older Blackhawk screwdrivers that look like that (Especially the business end of that Phillips)

I don't know how new the design is, but these are brand new directly from Proto.

Edit - I don't know the age of this set on ebay, but it doesn't have the same style tip as my screwdrivers.

Have you checked the fit of the Philips driver in a screw head?

I have had some older US made Stanleys where the philips tip (#2) is too big for the screw. they had chrome plated tips like your pic.

I have a stanley with a p2 like that. Most of the recent Blackhawk screwdrivers were identical to the regular proto and made in England. either brand new or more likley new old stock.

Most of the Blackhawk stuff I've gotten recently has been USA made (Sockets, screwdrivers, a couple of adjustable wrenches and a set of combination wrenches). I find Blackhawk to be really good stuff, even compared to their more expensive counterparts (Proto and Mac).
