I had the thread up for an hour and no one seemed interested so I tried to delete it. Come to find out, the forum software won't let a guy delete a thread that he started; so next time I'll know.
I mean this with all due respect, but you have to be one of the strangest message board cats I have ever come across.

I made a post about my Bend Pak HD9 Lift about a week ago, and it got but one response. Some times a post isn't interesting enough to elicit a response from anyone, so there are no comments. Sometimes they make it to the bottom of the heap, and it goes unnoticed by the majority of the people, because the forums were particularly busy that day. What is the harm in just letting the post remain?![]()
I miss Dink![]()
I have never been in a pawn shop. The idea of a place where less fortunate or crooks go to exchange goods for money/loans seems creepy to me.
Huh. I have been to quite a few pawn shops over the years. Usually browsing the stuff for sale, but also seeking a loan on several occasions. I have always redeemed my collateral.
They don't seem creepy to me, but maybe that's because I am one of the "less fortunate".
Please excuse me if my post came off in any way as being "cocky". My intentions were completely opposite of that.
It just seems to me personally, that going to a pawn shop is like trying to score from someone else's situation, where they were at a loss. Perhaps I'm 100% wrong, as I am somewhat nieve to the workings of a pawn shop.

I saw something on Craigslist today, and the fellow said in the posting that he was selling his tools to pay for oil for heat. Not everyone is as fortunate as most of the people here that have the spare $$$ to buy what they want. I remember when I was in college, many times I didn't have enough money to pay the rent, and buy dog food. It was amazing how far a box of crackers and peanut butter went with both the dog and myself. He was just happy to have me as his master, and we shared........ well almost... I never ate his dog food..![]()
